Since the beginning of this year, I have been living nearly unplugged. After an acquiescent relocation, one of the first things I was told was, “We don't have constant electricity here, we have light 1-2 times per week if we are lucky. And it nearly lasts for an hour.” I started to imagine my life with my phone constantly dead. Since my phone is the only lifeline to the digital world, the thought of going without it most of the time felt unsettling.  I was used to having almost constant electricity where I used to live and even my hostel while was in uni, so I never bothered to get a power bank.

Sunday afternoons are perfect for doing something creative, and cooking is no exception. I'm not really a fan of cooking but I love being creative with my food and trying out new recipes. On this particular Sunday afternoon, I was craving spaghetti and decided to make a new recipe with spaghetti. I scoured the internet for inspiration and I came across an easy and delicious-looking recipe. I can't remember the particular name of the recipe I use but it is basically tomatoes, garlic and spaghetti.  (this image is AI-generated)

Hope your week is off to a creative start! I love to share with you a little project I made yesterday.  I have a habit of losing my keys, I don't know why and how. It is annoying and the stress I have to go through to break my padlock and spend money on getting a new one is more annoying. Recently, after I got a new key. I decided to outsmart myself. I removed one of the keys and kept it hidden around my window in case of emergencies.

I didn't really think much of it but as I grew older, I began to hear horrible stories about female genital mutilation (FGM) and the negative impact it has on its victims.

Some even compared childbirth to the pain of passing a kidney stone. While some women don't experience much pain, for some, the childbirth experience can be terrible and life-threatening.  How relieving would it be to give birth without enduring that much pain?

I have a thing for wearing a new dress every Sunday, especially on the first Sunday of the month. But what do you do when you are short of new dresses and even short of time to make one? This week has been busy for me but I still managed to pull off a gorgeous Sunday dress. Did I just say gorgeous? Well, sort of. Actually, I made this dress last week for our cultural Sunday in church which was last week Sunday but when I tried it on it looked too plain and not pleasing to me. So this Sunday I was too busy to make another dress so I decided to wear what I made last week but I spiced it up a little bit by adding tiny beads around the neck to give a more sophisticated look.
