Karoo to Coast 100 km Mountain bike race.Lately, I am quite lazy posting, so this events of this post already took place on 21 and 22 September 2024.On 22 September the Karoo to Coast 100 km MTB race took place. Two of my friends and I decided to participate in this race, which is a one day race.
Betta (Siamese Fighting Fish) Spawning:I do love my tropical fish and one of my favourite species is Betta Fish, also known as Siamese Fighting Fish. They normally have beautiful colours. The photo above is of one off my males.
Featherbed Nature reserve.While on vacation in Knysna, we decided to visit the Featherbed Nature Reserve. To get there, one needs to take a ferry across the Knysna Estuary. After the short trip with the ferry people are transported, by truck to the top of the Nature reserve, which is situated on the Western Head of the Knysna estuary, where the lagoon flows into the sea.
Brenton on Sea Beach.During the Easter holidays, my wife and I visited Knysna, which is a town in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. Brenton on Sea, is just a short distance, outside the town. The Brenton Beach is one of the most beautiful sandy beaches, and goes all the way from Brenton to Buffels Bay, giving a beach of around 5.5 km long.
Knysna Trip:During the Easter Holidays, in the end of March / start of April my wife and I went for a short break to the coast, more precisely to Brenton on Sea, which is part of the town of Knysna, in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.
