Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Unexpectedly Humbled By Marisol Contuma

Time flies! Just completed the 192nd brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 6 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

So for the final result, we were 3rd out of 10 guilds and got 485 Merits and around 23 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! A decent finish!

Individually, I had 6 fights this time and I won 5 of them this time! Finished 5th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 1 additional wins for me.

Got lucky over here because the opposing Grum Flameblade had a bad miss, though it can happen because its speed is only 1. Other than that it was quite evenly matched between both teams, though I had a slight advantage of having 1 more attacking card. Legendary card made the difference here but Gorth deserved the MVP for holding it out in the front.

It's Quora Towershead AGAIN. I never thought I had any chance actually but the team put in so many star performances and every card huffed and puffed to bring the Martyr boosted Quora Towershead down. Biggest credit went to Chaos Dragon for holding out so strongly at the front, as well as Goblin Psychic for the healing. We pulled it off this time!

Drybone Raider is a must have these days for Neutral only battles. There was a clear disparity between cards on both sides and the battle was one-sided in my favour. Easy win here.

Ouch. I was beaten badly by a card that I didn't think strongly of. I never thought Marisol Contuma was so strong here and the Level 2 version actually overcame the strong combination of Iziar/Sola Ranjell. Just wow. My opponent deserved this win for this master play.

So that sums up my 6 battles for this brawl! 83% win rate this time round, pretty satisfied this time.

No new Gladius cards to review this time round.
