For a long time, like many others, I thought that at a certain age women begin to become invisible. That society stops looking at them, validating them, including them in that space where everything seems to revolve around youth and appearance.

It’s interesting how your perspective on pain changes when you go from being the one asking questions to being the one in pain. In the exam room, we always ask patients to describe their pain: “Is it sharp? Is it a dull ache? Does it burn?” Sometimes they fall silent, unable to put into words what they’re feeling, and that lack of information is a key factor that makes it difficult for us to reach an accurate diagnosis.

As expected he was excited all the way there, he asked me many things and we even had to stop for a moment to buy him a tequeño with a very cold malta, that was our breakfast so he would go with all the energy in the world 📸💦 , I went with a very positive mind, only decreeing that everything would be fine, as soon as we entered the Water Park 🏞️ we saw a truck full of toys for all the children and seeing everyone's smiles well I knew it was worth taking a chance on the adventure hehe, Harold asked me to be his photographer in every corner of the park so I dedicated myself solely and exclusively to taking care of him and being focused on capturing his happiness, even though I don't appear in the photos I was there present and connected with him in every moment.

It is a portrait of male fragility and the lack of character in a man who becomes a victim of circumstances and accepts his fate to avoid being labelled a coward. Set in Rome during the COVID-19 lockdown, the film weaves a story that is funny, harrowing and packed with elements that make it feel very real.

We’re about to kick off one of the best weeks of the year for all Venezuelans—it’s Holy Week—and talking about it is like flipping through an album filled not just with photos, but with moments that still live on in my memory. Every year, I’ve had the chance to do something to keep that family tradition alive at home. It’s a time of year we look forward to with great excitement, and no matter how much time passes, there’s always something that comes back: the smell of the food, the laughter at the table, the sound of conversations that seemed to go on forever—it all makes everything so enjoyable.

One of the things I want to incorporate is always asking myself why I go to the gym and what I gain from exercising. For me, it’s about relieving stress for at least an hour, since that’s the time I dedicate when I go. It’s also about knowing that if I stay consistent, I can build new muscle. I also know I will be healthier, which is the best part, and I remind myself that this will help me in my daily activities. I’ll feel more productive in what I do and, therefore, happier.

Every day I hear more people talking about reprogramming the mind. Is this really possible? Or is it just a fad? Even though there are certain things I don’t understand, I know that each person is the protagonist of their own life—they dream it, visualize it, and are capable of creating it. From my perspective, we must look for opportunities in everything that happens to us and surrounds us. Above all, we must maintain a positive attitude, because it doesn’t matter if the world is upside down—as long as we, on the other hand, are standing tall and focused on what we want.

I have to be completely honest and tell you that it was only a few days ago that I really paid attention to the lyrics of this song. It’s not that I hadn’t heard it before, but I had let it slip by, thinking it was just another song in the mix—but I was wrong. Maybe I was biased because I’m not a fan of Alejandra Guzmán; even though I love Franco de Vita’s songs, I didn’t give this beautiful song the credit it deserved.

We have already gone through the fire of perimenopause, those years where the body seems to speak a language that isn't understood. But on the other hand, we find an unprecedented calm. The hormones that for thirty years marked the rhythm of life, as well as the urgency, the searching, the nonstop caregiving, quiet down. For the first time since adolescence, the internal territory ceases to be a battlefield. And in that peace, something emerges: ourselves.
