Bendita sea la magia que hay en las manos del artesano, esas que transforman las cosas, los materiales, las ideas; que aplican sabiduría, amor y pasión para lograr su arte y piezas únicas.

La comunidad de Hive Argentina, nos invita junto a InLeo a compartir nuestras experiencias alrededor de la artesanía y yo con dos maravillosos artesanos en casa, no podía quedarme sin participar.

Hace unos cuantos días llevamos a @dulce.crucita para abastecerse con hilos para su crochet y en lo que me descuidé un minuto ella le contó al vendedor un resumen de su vida o mejor dicho, de nuestras vidas. Iba algo así como: "mi esposo hace jabones, es un jabonero y a mi me gusta tejer amigurumis y accesorios..." Un tercero en el lugar estaba oyendo y dijo: "¡Increíble, son una familia de artesanos!".

Es hermoso ver el brillo en los ojos de mi @dulce.crucita mientras selecciona sus hilos, mientras comparte su historia; cuando fabrica un nuevo muñeco y lo entrega como regalo o a un cliente. Es en ese brillo que no deja dudas de que ama lo que hace y es realmente inspirador.

Ese mismo brillo está en los ojos de mi jabonero favorito, mi papá @felixmarranz, cuando comparte con otros jaboneros o explica sobre sus nuevas fórmulas y jabones. Pero contrario a mi tejedora, que encontró está pasión por gusto, papá encontró su pasión por los jabones en la necesidad. Y es que las personas no saben el montón de habilidades que adquieres cuando vives en Venezuela y te toca resolver, como decimos allá: "con las uñas".

Lo hermoso de esta historia, es que ambos encontraron sus pasiones y les han servido para generar ingresos. Por un tiempo la fabricación de dulces tradicionales y bebidas artesanales (de dónde nació el emprendimiento: La Dulce Crucita) fue el sustento principal de nuestra familia, posterior a lo cual lo fue Aurora Jabón.

Creo que la receta familiar del ron con ponsigué (bebida tradicional), de la jalea de mango y el dulce de lechosa permanecerán mucho tiempo en el ADN familiar. Aunque ahora, tan lejos de Venezuela y con el elevado precio de estás frutas en el extranjero, será mejor dejarlas anotadas por si el tiempo pasa factura a los recuerdos.

En este mundo virtual y moderno, es importante mantener algunas tradiciones del saber hacer, por si las películas de ficción llegansen a ser oscuros pronósticos del futuro (ya soné conspiranoica), aunque espero que no. Creo que hay algo hermoso en el entendimiento de los procesos, en poder construir con las propias manos y en la seguridad que da el saber hacer las cosas. ¿Soy la unica que piensa que saber hacer jabón podría resultar muy útil en un mundo post apocalíptico? 😂

Como hija de estos maravillosos artesanos me siento muy orgullosa de las habilidades que han cultivado y feliz porque encontraron actividades que les dan tanta satisfacción. Sé lo mucho que se esfuerzan en seguir aprendiendo y mejorando.

The Hive Argentina community invites InLeo and I to share our experiences around crafts, and with two wonderful artisans at home, I couldn't miss out.

A few days ago, we took @dulce.crucita to stock up on yarn for her crochet, and while I was distracted for a minute, she told the vendor a summary of her life, or rather, our lives. It went something like this: "My husband makes soaps, he's a soap maker, and I like to knit amigurumis and accessories..." A third person in the room was listening and said, "Amazing, you're a family of artisans!"

It's beautiful to see the sparkle in my @dulce.crucita's eyes as she selects her yarns, as she shares her story; as she makes a new doll and gives it as a gift or to a client. It's that sparkle that leaves no doubt that she loves what she does and is truly inspiring.

That same sparkle shines in the eyes of my favorite soap maker, my dad @felixmarranz, when he shares with other soap makers or explains his new formulas and soaps. But unlike my weaver, who found this passion out of love, Dad found his passion for soaps out of necessity. People don't realize the many skills you acquire when you live in Venezuela and have to figure things out, as we say there, "with your nails."

The beautiful thing about this story is that they both found their passions, and they've helped them generate income. For a time, making traditional sweets and artisanal drinks (which is where the business La Dulce Crucita was born) was our family's main source of income, after which Aurora Jabón became its main source.

I think the family recipe for rum with ponsigué (a traditional drink), mango jelly, and papaya jam will remain in the family's DNA for a long time. Although now, so far from Venezuela and with the high price of these fruits abroad, it's best to leave them written down in case time takes its toll on the memories.

In this modern, virtual world, it's important to maintain some traditions of know-how, in case fictional films turn out to be dark predictions of the future (I'm already sounding like a conspiracy theorist), although I hope not. I think there's something beautiful in understanding the processes, in being able to build with your own hands, and in the confidence that comes from knowing how to do things. Am I the only one who thinks that knowing how to make soap could be very useful in a post-apocalyptic world? 😂

As the daughter of these wonderful artisans, I feel very proud of the skills they've cultivated and happy that they've found activities that give them so much satisfaction. I know how hard they strive to continue learning and improving.
