The connectivity of the movies, literature, fashion and music of the Gothic way of life are explored by Lol Tolhurst, a founding member of The Cure, in his book "Goth - A History." Published in 2023, Tolhurst is very adamant that he is not a historian. Most of this book is based on his own personal experiences. After all, he participated in the Goth lifestyle with three of The Cure's albums being referred to as Gothic according to the author.

Being that it is April already, it is time to get ready for the upcoming Car Show season in New Jersey. On Sunday, April 6th, the Lacey United Methodist Church (located at 203 West Lacey Road in Forked River) will be presenting the "Blessing Of The Vehicles & Spring Dust-off" hosted by jerseyshorecarshows.com. The event runs from 11:00am until 3:00pm and is free to attend or to show off your car, truck or motorcycle. There will be free food and snacks, while supplies last. This is in preparation for the car show that will be held at the church on Saturday, May 10th.

New Jersey Filmmaker Warren F. Disbrow was in Collingwood Auction and Flea Market, located in Farmingdale, last week to check on the sales of some of his movies that were shot locally in New Jersey. They still had a few copies of "Haunted Hay Ride: The Movie" left. However, "Scarlet Moon" was sold out! "Haunted Hay Ride: The Movie" was released by Crystal Visions Entertainment in 2008, while "Scarlet Moon" was released by Troma Entertainment in 2006. Word on the street has it that many of Warren F. Disbrow's movies are expected to be rereleased in the very near future. Maintaining a steady cult following, Disbrow has been out of the public's eye for quite a few years now due to personal reasons. It is time for people to be reintroduced to characters such as Professor Hertz, Hate and Andreas!

It is no coincidence that "Red Hulk" #1 hit the racks of the comic book stores recently. General Thunderbolt Ross and his red alter-ego hit the big screen in a big way in "Captain America: Brave New World" this year as well. Geoff Shaw and Marte Gracia presents us with cover artwork that displays the rage and the pain felt by the general who still enjoys getting his hands dirty. Handling the story, Benjamin Percy jumps right into the action that takes place on a plane flying over the Yellow Sea. No origin story is needed. The artwork inside the issue by Geoff Shaw and Bryan Valenza display a crispness and attention to detail that is as good as that I have ever seen.

Yes, a monster was created. However, I am not referring to the Hulk, but instead to Charlie Tidwell. As shown in "The Incredible Hulk" #803, people will be getting hurt, or to be more exact, killed! As long as she wears the Godskin, Charlie isn't able to help herself. But even more so, Lycana will eventually make her pay.

The amazing continuation of "Wolves Of The Old World" leads the reader to discover many revelations. The copy of "The Incredible Hulk" #802 that I picked up from Conquest Comics (@blewitt) also possessed an incredible variant cover from Martin Simmonds. I can only interpret the drawing as the anguish felt by the beast living within the man. However, recently Bruce Banner is experiencing the anguish from the man living within the beast.
