In a recent post I had mentioned plans to complete a massage course and had hopes that it would serve as some sort of reset. I didn't want a total deletion of gray matter though and I was also hoping it would provide me with new input and experience and much needed confidence/worthiness boost after a recent events haven't been so kind. Luckily, things went pretty close to plan and enjoyable week away from the computer and in the good company of three friendly, skilled therapists.

I was hoping 2025 would run a little more smoothly than last year, it seems that's not to be the case...Two months now and counting since I was made redundant. At the time I remained pretty calm about losing a decent job which paid well and allowed me to work remotely by the sea, but after numerous applications and very few replies, I'm now starting to get a little anxious. A daily scroll through Linked-in seems to show numerous people looking for IT roles, and I also read that Microsoft has recently cut 5000 jobs - now doesn't seem like the ideal time to be out of work.

Hello!It's Friday the 4th of April 2025 and today marks my first month without employment, which has mostly been spent feeding the seagulls and messing around on the Internet. Some may wonder if this was not too dissimilar to a normal working day when I was employed... I can confirm that I saved the internet messing for later in the day 😁

Whilst the tourists are away and it's not so toasty in the Balearics, there is normally plenty of construction work taking place. This year it's Magaluf's turn for major works as the promenade, or at least half of it, is being repaved and widened.
