I saw this image and decided to challenge myself to paint this.Reference image Basic shapes, I was nervous because grass and flowers is one of my weakness in painting. Starts rendering, I was not very confident seeing how it looks like, below. I forced myself to continue. Adding the background make it looks better, the flower also looks more convincing Continue to paint. Focusing on the background. Final! It looked boring so I made some colour adjustment.
Here was my another dessert painting practice. I choose this very cute pug cookie. The draft Base colour, rough shading and painted some saturated colour little by little according to the reference picture. Continue to add on the details, and complementary colour at the darker part. Add on with the shadow, now it's finished!
Happy New Year! I don't have plans to hang out with people last year, so I'm thinking of new character to paint. Ended up choosing Caleb from a game (Love and Deepspace). I wanted to challenge myself to paint something a little different from my usual, which is to include hands or other poses. Damn, this took me 3 to 4 days to complete. It was alot of back and forth at fixing the weird parts in the painting. Also, made me pay more attention to many of my bad habits during my creating process
I found this reference image, and I think this is some kind of cake? This is cute, so I decided to draw one of it. The draft Basic colour, I tried darker colour as the base colour, just to test it out and see what happens Rendering... Added some complementary colour at the darker part.
Found a funny picture on Pinterest, I wanted to paint it!This is the reference picture Draft Base colour Painting the hand... Done with the hand, now start rendering the chiwawa Added some blue to make it look more interesting Final!
This food painting practice will continue for a while I think :DThis is the reference of the day. Make a base Then the rough shadow Paint the saturated colour to make it look yummy Some more highlights, details, and some reflected lights too. I try to paint some complementary colour at the dark part, weirdly it looks nice. I also tried to add some dark background at the highlight part, like those art student's work. I don't know if I imitate well but it doesn't look bad to me hahaha. This is the final!
