Recently I was traveling along the A303 which runs between Basingstoke and and somewhere in Devon in the UK; stopped off at the Holiday Inn Wiltshire near Stonehenge for the night and spotted this huge metal sculpture welcoming visitors to the Solstice Business Park.

I took a shorter walk yesterday as I was tired from my previous day's excursions. I covered about 1km (0.6 mi) on foot around the Peacehaven Centenary Park and captured some birds who enjoy the park.As with the previous day, I found a shrub full of house sparrows (Passer domesticus; although these birds are at risk, they are plentiful in this area. They can be pretty hard to focus on, especially seeing as I knocked the range switch on my lens, making it impossible to focus on them... mistakes were made:

I struggled with the light today; a persistent and broad cloud base obscured the sun for most of the day. It was also about -1°C (33°F) outside and felt much colder with wind-chill. Fortunately, I have heated gloves; otherwise, the cold would have limited my ability to operate the camera.

So, it was time for another gentle walk around my local area; I covered about 2km on foot and took about 300 photographs. Some of the ground I covered was reconnaissance-based, as I was looking for convenient places to find birds of prey.

I ran out of titles, so Photoblog will have to do here.
