So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the first topic for this week, which is “RETIREMENT PLANS”.

But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “SOMETHING GOOD, SOMETHING BAD”.

This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us about the good and bad things that have happened in their country in recent times. This involves the good things that they’re happy about and also the changes that make them sad.

We got to see that indeed, on a daily basis, things are happening around the world at an astronomical pace, a fact that makes it easy for people to get carried away with the things in their lives. But then, we know what is happening, and we also know the effects they have on the people. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.

For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w205e3 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors, will be listed below.

THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE HOPE FOR NIGERIA by @vickoly

This author told us that one of the top worst things happening to Nigerians in Nigeria is insecurity. A development that has claimed a lot of lives in recent years. And one of the best things is their dedication to building new roads, making it safer and easier for users to commute from place to place.

THE GOOD AND THE BAD OF THE PLACE I CALL HOME by @burlarj

*For this author, he told us about the insecurity that is rampant in his country, and then went on to talk about the tax increase, something that not everyone is ready to embrace just yet. On the flip side, the government seems to be working on infrastructure, which could make life a bit easier for everyone.”

PARAGUAY: A MIXED BAG by @ladyaryastark

For this author, she told us that one of the beautiful things that happened in her country is the return of the wild macaws, something that’s a thing of great joy and beauty. And then, the bad news had to do with a terrible flood that ended in the loss of life. A tragedy that could have been avoided ended up happening simply because relevant authorities refused to do their jobs.
