Many times in life, it seems like everything we do is in vain, that our efforts yield no results, and that nobody values the good we do—focusing only on our mistakes and the negatives. This is especially true in the workplace, where bosses are increasingly demanding and seem to believe that life should revolve around the company. No matter how much extra effort one puts in, it often feels like no recognition or even a word of approval is given in return.
