At the start of the season, no one expected Barcelona to achieve what they have gotten so far this season, from beating Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup, to also beating Real Madrid again in the Copa Del Rey final and then making sure of their league victory as they won 4-3 at home. This year should have been Barcelona's year for the Champions League title, but due to bad officiating from the referee, the dream has been put on hold.

It has been a tough week for FC Barcelona fans since the Champions League defeat, and as a fan who has supported this club for over 15 years, it breaks my heart to see the team lose on that Tuesday night to Inter Milan. Barcelona was just two minutes away from the final before that foul on Gerard Martin, which led to Inter Milan equalising in the closing minutes. I am 100 per cent certain that Barcelona was robbed that night by poor refereeing decisions, and even though FIFA has said they won't be taking the referee and the VAR referees to the Club World Cup, it still doesn't make up for what happened on Tuesday night.

It was the second time both teams were meeting in the competition as the last time, Barcelona won 3-2 away from home in Dortmund's home stadium. Before the match last night as a fine, I was not nervous about the outcome, but I was confident that Barcelona would secure the win as their present form speaks for itself in all competitions since the start of the year.
