A Hand for Cumanacoa. In the Caribbean Sea, storms, hurricanes, cyclones and all kinds of troughs are constantly forming, which on many occasions cause torrential rains, causing human and material losses. Our country Venezuela, being located in the middle of the Caribbean area, does not escape this reality, since on several occasions it has received the onslaught of these phenomena caused by nature; for example, in 1993 Hurricane Bret, in Venezuela and especially a large part of our state of Sucre were victims of the devastating passage of this climatic phenomenon, where there were many human and material losses.
Another situation that the whole country experienced without exception, was what happened in December 1999, when due to extremely torrential rains, we were also vulnerable victims to such an event and although all this was experienced throughout the country; from there we know what was the tragedy of Vargas, what today would become the state of La Guaira; that situation also produced the loss of many brothers, not to mention the immense amount of material losses.
But this did not stop there, because currently our state of Sucre was victim again of the passage of a new hurricane, whose action was felt in a terrifying way in the town of Cumanacoa municipality Montes; and I say again, because in 2012 these brothers because of the constant rains caused by the storm Isaac, suffered the inclement flooding of the Manzanares River that ended with everything; literally the streets of the town were at the mercy of the waters of the aforementioned river, much damage, much sadness and much impotence felt by its inhabitants, because everything happened in the early hours of the morning, all this we know because we live very close to the town and we have knowledge of what happened; in addition, the images are terrifying.
Now, since Saturday June 29 the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology INAMEH, warned about the proximity of Tropical Storm Beryl; a storm whose trajectory was on course from the northeast of our country, so according to experts it would arrive in the early hours of July 1; all this without knowing that the storm would become a category 5 hurricane. The forecasts were true, because on July 2 our brothers of Cumanacoa suffered the onslaught of this hurricane and the damages were worse than those occurred in 2012; 12 years later our brothers return to terror and this time 3 people died and more than 8 thousand homes affected, our people lost everything; again literally the streets became the ravaging course of the Manzanares River, entire villages were destroyed, this leaves us speechless. It is understandable that things cannot be solved overnight; however, the Venezuelan heart and especially the Sucre heart is extremely beautiful, because immediately began the installation of collection centers to collect all possible aid and @hivesucre started an information campaign through its web networks2. Our people need drinking water, non-perishable food, medicines, clothes in good condition, if possible they can provide prepared food and above all a lot of love for all of them. It is important to highlight that the @hivesucre team is standing up to provide all the necessary support; in fact, actions were carried out to receive from its members everything they can donate; in addition, community leaders @hivesucre and @hivesucre, after acquiring all the necessary material and supplies will undertake their journey of love to Cumanacoa to offer everything donated.
In this sense, in the first instance, the @hivesucre team has received donations of clothes, food and personal hygiene items, so that they reach with all the love in the world to the hands of the needy brothers and sisters. On the other hand, we want to thank the HBD allies, for being collection centers and for sending the help to the families in need; and as if that were not enough, the help is also directed to all the pets that also suffer. We hope that in Cumanacoa everything returns to normal; unfortunately the situation is serious, so it will take some time for the population to get out of this great emotional impact.
It has been days since this tragedy in which Cumanacoa suffered the ravages of Hurricane Beryl; therefore, after the @hivesucre team made the collection of donations in conjunction with the ally @hivesucre; a day of love for others was held directly on the scene to deliver the donations in the hands of those affected, they received clothes, non-perishable food, medicines, diapers, drinking water, prepared food, mouth covers. Truly, this great community is a family that reaches out when someone is in need. It is really impressive the great amount of brothers and sisters in the streets; certainly the waters have gone down, but only destruction, desolation and sadness have remained; simply the brothers and sisters of Cumanacoa have lost everything, but hope is always latent.
We can offer help and words of encouragement, but what Cumanacoa has lived and continues to live is horrible, the images speak for themselves; it is one thing to see it and another to live it, because all these people have felt terror in their lives. Much help is needed for the inhabitants of the sector to move forward, today is Cumanacoa, tomorrow you do not know who can touch something like this, out with the indolence and open your hearts to those who really need it, and the brothers of Cumanacoa need a lot from everyone; @hivesucre is active, already started actions to help all of them and soon there will be important information, do not stay at home, visit any collection center and offer your valuable donation.
