Yesterday was Christmas and I was at an altitude of 4000 meters above sea level. The name of this place is “Chandrashila”. Due to continuous travel, I am now lagging behind in the #winterchallenge organized by @worldmappin. Due to travel, the internet is not available well everywhere, due to which I am facing a lot of difficulty in writing posts and uploading photos, so it is becoming very difficult for me to make my place in #traveldigest.

India is a country of diversity and I am saying this because the more I travel in my country, the more I understand and see the unity in the diversity. Can people living in the world even imagine that there is a mummy in India? Yes, it is true that there is a mummy in the North of India. I drove for 19 hours from Delhi to see this mummy, which is 776 km away. Let me tell you whose mummy it is.

I think this is the first time I have written for 24 consecutive days, oh yes I remember I haven't written for two days. But it feels like I am writing every day. This daily writing routine is a gift of @worldmappin because #worldmappin has organized #winterchallenge in which all travelers like me are writing blogs about amazing places in the world every day and we are reading, commenting, upvoting and resharing these posts every day through #traveldigest.

Tomorrow is Christmas and I have reached Narkanda to see the fresh snowfall of winter at my friend @naveen.jogta's house. Naveen lives in a small hill village named 'Firnu' situated in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. This village is situated at an altitude of 2450 meters and due to its altitude, this place sees a lot of snowfall every year. I had come to Narkanda last year too but there was no snowfall during my stay here.

Finally the time has come when we have to return from Rudranath. Today while thinking about the return journey I am remembering the moment of 2 days ago when I entered the forest on foot from Sagar village in the morning sun and my condition worsened on hearing the sound of a bear and I ran to Pung Bugyal from where I could see Nanda Devi Peak even in bad weather. Beyond Pitradhar I found snow up to my knees and as I moved ahead fresh snowfall started.

Yesterday the journey from Sagar village to Rudranath was very thrilling. While on the way through the jungle I heard the sound of a bear howling, the knee-deep snow after Pung Bugyal left no stone unturned in testing me. And in the last 3.5 km, snowfall started which made me realize that now my life is in danger because neither I nor the locals knew that there would be any human being in the temple. So when there is no one then how will I get help. With many problems, I sleep in my sleeping bag to avoid getting wet.
