This is Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius. The photo was taken at the Gaudan shopping complex. Located by the waterfront with a view of the harbour. It's a good place to sit in a cafe and watch the boats come in. When I took the photo, I was turning towards the city where you can see the mountains in the background. The harbor is behind me. The memorial is close to Brandenburger Tor and Reichtag, which are probably among the top 10 sight in the Berlin. I was in Berlin with a friend. We only had a few days in the city, but we chose to spend the first day walking around the inner city making Brandenburger Tor our first stop. Just a few minuttes more of walking we came to the memorial. The whole place reminded me of a cemetery with all the concrete blocks or «boxes». The shape and lack of colors, did make us think of coffins.

This photo of a parent with its baby was taken on the small, tropical island in the Indian Ocean. This bird is a Lesser Noddy. On the island of Ile aux Cocos there can be as many as 45.000 birds! No humans live here. The island is a bird sanctuary and you can only visit on a guided tour. You do feel there are birds all around you. You have to very careful not to step on an egg or a baby. This place is Chinatown in Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius. There are many possibilies of getting something to eat here. This place is one of them. It is so small, that the customer who wants to sit here have to sit at one of these two available chairs outside the «window» where you order the food. Instead of waiting to get a seat, you can order take away. I have done that several times. The food is great. This photo is my entry to @photofeed contest
