This photo was taken in the area of Tam Coc, south of Hanoi, Vietnam. The area has a beautiful landscape with mountains and rice paddies. What you see on the photo is part of the Bich Dong Pagoda, located in the mountain. The temple is divided into three sections and you have to climb stairs to get to each level. One day a few weeks ago I was standing at a bus stop in Port Louis and saw two of the pillars that support the metro line. I decided to just take the next bus and instead go over and look at these. To my surprise, it wasn't just those two that were decorated. There were more here. All of them are beautifully painted. The colors are vibrant and with motifs from the island. A pleasant surprise I wouldn't have known about, if it wasn't for the bus I was waiting for.

The photo shows part of the town Grand Baie, located in the northern part of the island. It is one of the larger towns on the island, even though there aren't that many inhabitants. Because of the location by the sea, it's a popular tourist spot, which actually add the number of inhabitants. Especially during the summer season. There aren't any high rises here. Most houses has only two floors. This is where I stay when I am on the island. This photo is my entry to @photofeed contest

I started my walk from one of the small streets in downtown Port-Louis. There are three stairways to the chapel. The one in the middle that leads directly to the front of the chapel, doesn't have stairs all the way, so I guess it the 82 steps are the stairways to each side. I chose the one in the midle. Not to avoid the steps, but to be able to look straight at the chapel.

We were in a small boat when we noticed the elephant and for some time we followed him as he kept walking along the river. The place is Chobe National Park in Botswana. This photo is my entry to @photofeed contest

These musicians in colorful custumes were found on one of the smaller side roads in the Stone Forest, Yunnan, China. The place is an amazing natural forest consisting of limestone formations. All of these towering rock formations forms a «forest», hence the name. The area covered with these stone peaks is huge. There are roads throughout the area. At certain places there were areas where local dancers and musicians perfomed. This group is one of them. When I passed, they were having a break. So I never saw them perform.
