Weekending At Ed Sheeran's - Mathematics Tour In Hyderabad

2025-03-03T17:02:33
Me and @yugadi Took a train from Chennai to Hyderabad to attend this concert, I bought the The General Access Pass for 2 that cost us 9000 INR (103 $), It was a decent amount and we also decided to spend few extra days there for sightseeing. Even @alstonsjournal & his partner @alstonsjournal was with us for this concert but he and Fiona traveled from Bangalore. All four of us were staying at a hostel property, which is basically a backpacker hostel.
I went out a scooter from Royal Brothers for the duration of my stay, and also because it’s just more convenient since the event that we were going to attend was about 45km away, took us about 2 hours to reach and that day in particular was quite hot.
We arrived at the venue which was Ramoji Film City the world’s largest film studio complex, where movies, TV shows, and commercials are filmed across massive sets. The line was already massive and and getting a good spot was quite difficult. The gates opened at 2 PM and I immediately rushed in and made sure to get the front row. Since it was standing event. It is important that you get the front row since it’s just convenient for you and if you get stuck in the middle, it would have been quite difficult, and you would for sure feel suffocated so me and Alston just made away front and held our spots till our partners got in. This was certainly the most challenging part of the day 😂

Here's The 4 Of Us Exhausted But In Full Spirits For The Concert 😂
The first opening Act for the day, Armaan Malik started his set at 5 PM on the dot and it was a blast listening to him sing, now I knew who Armaan Malik was, but I didn’t know what songs he had particularly sung, and once he got on stage and started, I was at a shock to realise that I knew all songs. I just didn’t know who sang at that point of time 😂 it was so hilarious and this was the situation with @foodiechique as well. Both of us were like oh he sang these Bollywood hits 🤣

This was the best opening act that I have ever seen so far from all the concerts that i’ve attended and we totally had a blast like Armaan Malik just pumped up the energy for everyone present there and then you finally had Ed Sheeran coming up onto the stage and taking the energy up even higher 🥹🤌🏻 He opened with Castle On The Hill.
Me & @yugadi All Happy And Stoked Listening To Ed Sheeran 🥹

Apart from Boat and Bloodstream I knew everything else and sang my heart out till my voice went sore LOL also I absolutely love the fact that Ed doesn’t need a full band to command a stadium, he builds his entire sound live, layer by layer, using just his guitar, a loop pedal, and his custom built foot controlled looping system. It’s mesmerizing to watch him construct a song from scratch starting with a simple chord progression, then layering in rhythmic strums, beatboxing, and harmonies until the track is full and dynamic. There’s no pre recorded backing at all! and he even demonstrates this live, you can see it in the video. Everything is created in real time, making each performance feel raw and organic. The precision with which he loops every beat and note is unreal.

From the moment he steps on stage, Ed knows how to keep the crowd hooked in. He switches effortlessly between heartfelt ballads and high energy music, making sure no one zones out even for a second. Whether it’s getting everyone to scream the lyrics, wave phone lights in sync, or jump to a fiery chorus, he makes the entire stadium feel like a collective experience. He jokes, tells stories, and even conducts the crowd like a choir, making thousands of people feel like they’re part of something personal and electric.

And then there’s his rapping! Bloody flawless!, rapid fire, and ridiculously smooth. This particular one 'You Need Me, I Don’t Need You' proves that he’s got the flow and delivery of a seasoned MC. He spits out intricate verses with precision, barely taking a breath 😂, all while keeping perfect rhythm with his guitar. It’s not just about speed, it’s the effortless transitions, the way he shifts from singing to rapping without missing a beat. Seeing him drop bars live makes you realise just how versatile he is, this guy isn’t just a pop star, he’s got serious hip hop chops too 😎

Ed & Armaan Malik Singing 2 Step 🔥
One of the coolest things i've noticed about an Ed Sheeran concert is how he always shines a spotlight on local artists from the city he’s performing in. He doesn’t just bring them on as openers, he actively engages with their music, sometimes even learning the lyrics of their songs and performing alongside them. And if that means singing in a different language, he goes all in, proving his genuine love for music beyond borders. It’s rare to see a global superstar make such an effort to connect with the local scene, but Ed does it effortlessly, making every concert feel unique and deeply personal to the city he's in.

Post Concert Exhaustion 😂
You could see the joy in Ed's face as he performs! and it’s pretty similar to when a child gets candy offered to them, that excitement on his face shows how serious he is about his work.
Well that's about it from my Weekend and it's safe to say that this was THE BEST WEEKEND EVER
For some ungodly reason, this video turned out to be about 25 GB 😂 and I clearly couldn’t get this up on 3Speak so I ended up getting this up on YouTube. I didn't want to compromise on the video quality and well I also couldn’t figure out how to reduce the size of the video on Da Vinci.
