SourceYou know, I always find curious how difficult it can be for complete newcomers to traditional fighting games to mesh in due to things like motion inputs and having to learn particualr fundamentals that can vary between games due to changes and just the feeling they have in gravity.
This is the story how I went from a small Private, having not played the original Hydro Thunder in a good while, to a powerboat driving Sergeant with all tracks completed at least once on my belt.Well, no more time to chit-chat, right? Say it with me...
Hey, sorry for the long wait. I have tried some more stuff recently...but then I realized how most of it derived from that time I played Hydro Thunder Hurricane [and I still have to pick it up again], specifically having played the original Hydro Thunder and the spiritual successor that came before Hurricane, H2Overdrive [which is closer to the OG because it was made by former Midway devs], it would be nice to save that for another day and try writing about something else instead.
Hey, guys, remember Hydro Thunder? You know, that one cool arcade racing game with big boats rushing over waves on canyons and the sorts made at Midway that was also available on the PS1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, and anything that had Midway Arcade Treasures 3 available for it?
Heard of Castlevania Dominus Collection? Yes?Good, because that's where you find this one.But if you don't have idea of what I'm talking about, recently a new collection containing the three Castlevania games for Nintendo DS was unleashed to the world in PS5, Steam and Switch.
I don't remember where I exactly saw Super Collapse 3 first- perhaps from maybe looking up DS and PSP games and stumbling upon it since it got ported to those platforms, but I remember playing more than anything the original PC version due to the sounds and just...the singularly simple premise that was enough to hook me as a little guy.
