It's that time of year when racing starts again and what a great time of the year it is for a fellow like me who loves motor racing.

Formula One racing is my main focus, a sport I've followed since I was nine years old, and I've most lately been watching winter testing and consuming every little bit of information I can get prior to the season kicking off in Australia in a couple of weeks. This year sees a totally new car being required, new engines, new aerodynamics and even new teams with a factory Audi entry and the American Cadillac F1 team joining the grid for the first time taking the number of cars on the grid to 22 each race. I'm looking forward to it.

I follow other forms of motorsport as well including sports cars, Indycars, MotoGP and a few others however it's Formula One racing that gets most of my attention.

They say something like 850 million people around the world are Formula One fans and that sounds about right; it's a global sport which races in many countries throughout it's 24 race schedule and I'm fortunate enough to have live access to every practice, qualifying and race session so on race weekends...well, I make sure I clear my diary.

I'm passionate about motor racing, have done a lot of it myself and have been watching racing for a long time...but I know so many people hate it. I've heard things like, who wants to watch cars go round and round, and that's fair enough. I mean, we all have our interests...some people like to pretend they have a life through playing computer games rather than live life in the real world, some like to dumb-themselves-down on Facebook and create drama and that's their prerogative right? Well, watching motor racing is no different, just an interest some have.

What do you like doing with your free time, what do you get passionate about?
