Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post!
What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit in the game of Warhammer 40,000
The last of the Indexes! A new challenge!
Right, I am finally ahead and by my best estimations as I explained in
this Post, I should be able to keep ahead of the release curve and get the remainder of the Indexes reviewed before those Codex releases.
So I embark on a new challenge. I have calculated that there are roughly 148 reviews to do. I have chosen my frequency and have given myself 96 days to review them all. That means that I am aiming at Day 96 being the 21st of July 2025!
Today is Day 28/96.
I have reviewed 42/148.

Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear
With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account
@zakl.hobbyfund. I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.
At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $226 to pay off!

This iconic Khornite character is a Hounds of Khorne Epic Hero leader that of course leads other Flesh Hounds.
Katanak is 75pts, let's see if he is worth that investment!

Weapons
Standard weapons: Scalding roar; Soul-rending fangs; Brass Collar of Bloody Vengeance.
Ranged Weapons
Scalding roar
12" Range, D6+3 Shots, Hitting on Auto, S5, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Torrent (This weapon hits automatically, just roll for number of attacks.)
Ignores Cover (The enemy does not get Benefit of Cover against this attack)
Melee Weapons
Soul-rending fangs
6 Attacks, Hitting on 2+, S6, AP-2 and 2 Damage each.
Precision (This attack's wounds can be allocated directly to the leader)
Anti-Character 3+ (This attack critically wounds a Character unit on a 3+ regardless of Toughness)
Abilities
Deep Strike - If this unit arrives on the Battlefield from Reserves, it can be set up anywhere on the battlefield more than 9" from enemy models.
Wargear Abilities
Brass Collar of Bloody Vengeance
This model has a 3+ Feel No Paid against Psychic attacks and Mortal Wounds.
Pack Leader
While leading a unit, this model's unit can re-roll Charge rolls and Advance rolls.
Prey of the Blood God
Start of the battle, pick a unit, this model's unit can re-roll Wound rolls against that unit. If that unit is destroyed, select a new prey target.
Thoughts
Karanak is amazing! A Character assassin, a unit booster for damage and speed... for 75pts he sure does a lot! If you need fast beasts, he is your doggo! Also, he is OC3 for some reason. That's great!
Also... great for hunting wizards!
That makes 29 Chaos Daemon Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 58% Completed! The total of the remaining Index reviews is now 104.
