Its been a while posting my complete journey of Taiwan with a scooter with my German friend. He wanted me to finish the blog since there were good memories with him. I think traveling with someone brings a lot of one another's personality out and its a great way to create a bond with them. My German friend (aka. Mario) was someone who I met in my Spoken Chinese class and one day we were both thinking about how cool it can be to travel a round-a-bout Taiwan with just a scooter. I knew as a fact this kind of opportunities dont come often in life so I told him to stay at my place and lets get ready to trip Taiwan with a Scooter.
This is where we were heading to... City of Kaohsiung in Taiwan!

Long story short this will be #3 of my Journal in the Scooter trip. I just looked at my past post and wow its already been a year!! Last post was on Dec 5, 2021. Time really goes by so quick. Alright lets go from where we last left off.
We start with of course a good hearty breakfast. Taiwan has I would say one of the most tastiest breakfast meals in the world. Once you get used to Taiwan food it really is hard to go back to just milk and cereal with toast. So we stopped by a recommendation from our hostel owner.
This is a very typical small eats store where they sell breakfast and bento lunch boxes.

As you see here, this is what Taiwan breakfast was for us. Its not the usual rice ball and soymilk kind of deal. I asked what is popular here and this is what they offered. Tasted real good and was ready to head out.

Our next stop was to Kaohsiung city. This city is the second largest city in Taiwan after Taipei so going there and checking stuff out was a big deal to us and we wanted to really check it out. As you can see it takes 2.5 hours with a motorcycle but in reality it took a lot more than that due to the fact that we were stopping everywhere for a break.

We stopped by a lot of temples and I realized in Taiwan there is really a lot of Buddhist temples all around the area. Never the less each temple has its own unique look and specialty aesthetics and I really appreciate the fact they are trying to preserve the tradition.

The temples appearance of its entrance was pretty grand on this one.

This statue looked like it was carved from one single stone. I was trying to find any parting lines to see if it was assembled however I couldn't find any. If it really is made from one single rock then wow... that is some real skills.

We often try to find unfamiliar roads to just have some fun around while we can find some.

Here we go~ we finally arrived at our destination! For this night we booked a hotel and we each got our own rooms. Mario mentioned to me that I snore a lot so tonight we wanted some peace. Lolz!

Arrived at the hotel~ That was a long ride after all and Mario mentioned he was feeling a little bit sick so he needed some rest for several hours. No problemo~

My little private bedroom. Small but for sure cozy. :)

When the night came we ventured to the center of the city and headed to what they called the Love River. For sure this place was a great place for dating I guess.

Wow.. this city sure knew how to utilize LED technology. lolz. Everything was lighted up with LED and with all the colors of the rainbow!

This was pretty cool and it seemed like it used to be a part of a rail road track they preserved it as a walkway. I believe it was a historical rail road track used often back in the days.

The architecture sure was very modern and I can see why this city is the second largest in Taiwan. There were also a lot of foreigners as well.

A animated giff showing basically what the area looks like. The transportation of this area was really convenient with very clean subways.

The railroad tracks with the night light really made the environment somewhat look ultra futuristic.

After checking the place out we were totally about to knock out and headed back to the hotel to get some sleep and prepare for the next destination. We are not even half way done yet and boy were we tired that day. I am thinking our body needs to get used to this kind of long riding with the wind and it did take a lot of us to keep moving forward. However still.. it was fun. :)
Thanks for checking out my blog post for the scooter trip and stay tuned for the next episode!!
Set the Tone!!!~~ :)
