Today was pretty rainy, very grey and quite chilly.
And so was yesterday
But it was worth it, just for the view alone

We woke up early and decided that - instead of sitting inside, around the stove, burning through loads of our firewood - we would go on a wee drive to a nearby town and spend a couple of hours there...

After returning home, early afternoon, I made us a nice lunch, herbal tea and did the dishes, whilst Clare spend some time on our land, preparing a space where we plan to do some natural building.

@clareartista and I really enjoyed it and later had a second helping/ the remainder, for dinner.
After lunch, we spent an hour and a half, working on our land together. In the same area where Clare had worked earlier that afternoon.
We mainly focused on digging out and moving loads of rocks, in different sizes. Some of them were very big and heavy. And with them, we started building the beginning of an outer edge/wall-like, temporary structure.
Although it was chilly and even rained and hailed a bit throughout the process, we enjoyed it thoroughly. It was the best workout possible and we felt at peace and in harmony, with each other, nature and the elements.
It felt good to finally focus a bit more on natural construction, outdoors. It just felt absolutely right.
In fact, quite a bit more than working on our 'house', the only existing building on our land. A building that is so not our style. The latter often feels like wasted time, where this felt like time very well spent.

Despite tomorrow being forecast to be even colder and wetter, we are looking forward to doing a bit more work outdoors, on that same spot.
We can't wait to share more about it, perhaps even a little video.

All of the photos attached were taken today and yesterday. Both on our land and on a walk that I took by myself.
