Estoy feliz de presentarme en esta comunidad que se presenta como una oportunidad para la creación de contenido de calidad y una oportunidad para conectar con otras personas a lo largo del mundo por medio de lo que comparten ya sean escritos, imágenes, vídeos y más. Me presentare, mi nombre es Vergil por el escritor, algunos lo ubican por obras como la Eneida, otros por ser el guía de Dante en la Divina Comedia. Soy originario de México, Distrito Federal ahora conocido como CDMX. Estudié ciencias de la comunicación y en mi vida diaria me dedico al análisis de datos en redes sociales digitales.

I'm happy to introduce myself to this community which presents itself as an opportunity for the creation of quality content and a chance to connect with other people around the world through what they share: writing, images, videos and more. I will introduce myself, my name is Vergil for the poet, some knew him for works like the Aeneid, others for being Dante's guide in the Divine Comedy. I am originally from Mexico City now known as CDMX. I studied communication sciences and in my daily life I work as a data analyst focus in digital social networks.

Entre estas últimas se encuentran los juegos de rol, una de mis actividades preferidas y que mayor satisfacción personal me otorgan, siendo jugador, narrador y organizador de diferentes eventos dedicados a esta actividad, ya sean juegos de rol de mesa o los llamados Live Action Role Play (LARP). Durante los últimos tres años me he dedicado sobre todo a organizar estos eventos con asociaciones culturales en mi ciudad, compartiendo esta actividad con otras personas y enmarcando los beneficios sociales y educativos que pueden representar.

Throughout my days I look for activities that can enrich my knowledge: from learning programming in C+ and Python to overcome the demands of my job, to some that are out of the norm. Among the latter, role-playing games are one of my favorite activities and one that gives me the greatest personal satisfaction, from being a player, to being narrator and organizer of different events dedicated to this activity, whether they are role-playing games or the so-called Live Action Role Play (LARP). During the last three years I have dedicated myself mainly to organizing these events with cultural associations in my city, sharing this activity with other people and framing the social and educational benefits that they can represent.

Soy creyente de la frase de mente sana en cuerpo sano, y si bien no me la vivo en gimnasios y áreas de ejercicio, si le dedico una buena parte del día a desarrollar una actividad física. El aprendizaje del Katori me ha permitido enfocarme en la segunda actividad más importante de mi día a día: Mi academia de sabes de luz. Soy un gran fan de la saga de Star Wars y algunos amigos practicantes de diferentes formas de artes marciales y yo decidimos enfocar nuestros conocimientos a la práctica del ludosport basada en el combate con sable de luz tan representativo de la saga. La academia se llama “Quetzal, Combat Academy” y allí nos dedicamos a enseñar las diferentes técnicas de esgrima, artes marciales y gimnasia que conocemos enfocadas a las armas deportivas que emulan los sables de luz de las películas de George Lucas de tal forma que se pueda imitar lo más fielmente posible las coreografías presentadas en la obra. > In addition to these events, in my daily life I take Katori Shintō-ryū classes, an ancient form of Japanese combat training. I believe in the phrase "healthy mind, healthy body," and although I don't live it out in gyms and exercise areas, I do spend a good part of my day doing physical activity. Learning Katori has allowed me to focus on the second most important activity in my day-to-day life: my lightsaber combat academy. I am a big fan of the Star Wars saga and some friends who practice different forms of martial arts and I decided to focus our knowledge to the practice of ludosport based on lightsaber combat that is so representative of the saga. The academy is called "Quetzal, Combat Academy" and there we teach the different techniques of fencing, martial arts and gymnastics that we know focused on the sports weapons that emulate the lightsabers of George Lucas' movies so that you can imitate as faithfully as possible the choreography presented in the play.

(Fotógrafo: Javier Garcia @junkieprana en IG | Photographer: Javier Garcia @junkieprana on IG) Otra actividad que desarrollo es en las artes, el dibujo y la escultura son las otras dos actividades a las que les dedico tiempo, no tanto como a la academia de combate o los juegos de rol pero definitivamente más que a otras actividades de la vida diaria. Una de las cosas que me agradan es que puedo combinar la creatividad de los juegos de rol con el dibujo y la escultura. Aunque principalmente la utilizó como herramienta de redacción y creación de historias y fanfictions, debo decir que lo que más escribo son estas historias de ficción enfocadas sobre todo a Resident Evil lo cual ha probado que puedo usar una de mis actividades preferidas como una fuente de inspiración para otras de mis actividades. Como pueden ver todo lo que se refiere a la interpretación en sus diferentes formas es lo que más me gusta hacer en esta vida.

Another activity that I develop is in the arts: drawing and sculpture are the other two activities that I dedicate time to, not as much as the combat academy or role-playing games but definitely more than other activities of daily life. One of the things that I like is that I can combine the creativity of role-playing games with drawing and sculpture. Although I mainly used it as a tool for writing and creating stories and fanfictions, I must say that what I write most are these stories of fiction focused primarily on Resident Evil which has proven that I can use one of my favorite activities as a source of inspiration for other of my activities. As you can see everything that refers to the interpretation in its different forms is what I like the most in this life.

Podría extenderme muchísimo más con quien soy, que hago, que me gusta y miles de aventuras que he tenido a lo largo de mi vida. Pero lo dejare hasta aqui para contarles mucho más en mis siguientes escritos. Esta va a ser una pequeña caja de actividades y las cosas random que decido hacer, probar, experimentar, escribir y más. I could extend myself much more with who I am, what I do, what I like and thousands of adventures I have had throughout my life. But I'll leave it at this point to tell you much more in my next writings. This is going to be a small box of activities and random things that I decide to do, try, experiment, write and more.
