My friend's cats are the sweetest

Foster times

Two years ago, we met our friend who mostly had at least a dozen cats at home. Of which 10 or 11 were hers and then sometimes litters of kittens would be added so it could easily add up to 15 cats at once, if not more.
She used to volunteer for the organisation that we ended up fostering for as well and she became our contact from day one as she is British. We both have the same love for cats and we also both had the same frustrations dealing with the lady of the organisation, although she surely had to deal with her a lot more and many more years. We as a family decided that same summer that we weren't allowing such toxicity in our lives anymore so sadly for the cats, we quit fostering mainly thanks to that lady.

The good: two kittens and a friend

The experience of fostering was amazing and a great family experience, even though there were very difficult weeks while dealing with Giardia, especially as the kittens needed to be quarantined in the bedroom and I can still remember the aweful smell, lol. But the love for the kittens and the joy and love we received back from them made it all worth it!
Luna was kept alive by my friend for several weeks after her litter was dumped in a garbage bin, and when our first litter of foster babies moved to their new owners, she realized that maybe Luna was the right kitten for us. She was right, it was love at first sight and I can't be more thankful to her for keeping our baby alive while it cost her a lot of her time and energy at the time.
Maesi didn't stay at our friend's house but she made sure upon our request that Maesi was fostered by us with the intention to adopt. And so it turned out. After the adoption, we stopped fostering to focus on our ladies and we stayed in touch with our newfound friend.

Her cats are amazing

My daughter has a love for a few of her cats from day one, and even had the privilage of meeting and petting the cat that only allowed 4 people all the years she was adopted by our friend. Sadly she recently passed away but my daughter had the joy of meeting her. She's a true cat lady, just like our friend. She'd do anything for these babies and I salute her for doing that all alone, she has the biggest heart.
Even though some of her cats aren't as cuddly as others and one always hides within the couch, most of her cats are curious and always happily greeting us and even crawling on our laps when we visit. I will call the ginger fella Mr cuddle in this post because he used to be my daughter's bestie, and she even missed him when we didn't visit for a while, but last time he decided that my boyfriend was the one in need for some cat love instead of our daughter:
He kept cuddling him, if only I could show the joy and happiness on my boyfriend's face, our cats don't do that with him, they always pick either my daughter or me to snuggle up to. Sometimes they will crawl against him a bit but never on his lap. I watched those pictures afterwards and said he needs a cat like that, I could see the joy on his face and my heart melted.

They fit in perfectly

It's amazing to see how all these cats fit in so well and each have their own place in the house. Yet they are all so extremely friendly and curious and keep coming for cuddles when visitors they like arrive. They are there to greet us when the door opens and some even meow for attention, haha.
The top picture of the pretty lady reminds me a bit of our Luna, although the patterns on the fur aren't the same and our Luna is most definitely bigger (read: fatter) than her, they could be sibblings for sure.

Photographing all of the cats

Next time I will try to capture a few more of her cats because I'd love to gift her some really pretty pictures of all her cats for memories as they all deserve to be captured perfectly and have a nice frame on the wall in her house.
When visiting our friend, it's all about Caturday, and my love for cats grows even more each time I see her sweet bunch all together.
Hope you enjoyed this little Caturday post today!

All pictures above used are mine... of course my friend gave permission to share her cats <3
