ColderEven in our sunny Spain, the temperature surely dropped recently and gone are the days where you could hop in the car without taking your coat or even add some layers and a scarf by default. BUT not all days are that bad because we are currently seeing 20 to 21 degrees Celcius for the afternoons as well. Sadly, during these months it means that we're lucky if it hits that temperature for two hours because it really all depends on the willingness of the sun to appear.

Some shiny silver arrivedRemember that I mentioned one of the packages was stuck for weeks before it was picked up by the courier? Well this week it started moving and funnily enough, the second order I did the day before was picked up as well, eventually they both arrived the very next day. Weird how something can be stuck for weeks and then delivered the next day. I was already happy that it was moving, finally. While it's not moving I'm waiting for the goods and the seller's money is still held by the platform so they're actually screwing over several people by just not taking the packages from the pick up point.

A valuable local tipA month ago or so, we received a valuable tip from the chef in one of our favourite places to grab some food. He came to have a chat with us and asked our daughter a question. He was curious if she was going to get gifts with "Sinterklaas" (being Dutch), Christmas and with the day of the three Kings, seeing that this is where the Spanish celebrate big and of course this is what she also learns at school with the celebrations and hearing things from friends.

Rewind to October 2024It was halfway through October 2024 when I decided to hunt for some good deals of silver. In the back of my mind I also went hunting for something that could possibly be used as a secret Santa gift as this was an upcoming event.

Selling and buying on VintedIt's been a while since I had a rant to share here but today is the day. I found out about Vinted, a second hand platform to sell and buy items internationally around November and so far my experiences have been great on both sides. I learned quite a bit about demographics in terms of who are more likely to pay a higher price than others and will take note when I open my own webshop in the near future.

Sales proceeds into precious metalsAs I mentioned before, I've been selling off some of our unneeded stuff in the past 1,5 month or so. Not long after I started doing that, I added some new business venture to that which turned out succesful. As filling a webshop can be time consuming, so far I've only done sales on two platforms as it's just easier when dealing with shipping, all goes automatically and I don't have to manually sort how much shipping fees would be etc.
