My Week in Review for April 5, 2025

This has been an interesting week for just about anyone invested in the stock markets, precious metals, or cryptocurrency. With the tariffs finally put in place by the US government there has been absolute havoc in the markets worldwide. These losses may prove to be buying opportunities, as markets frequently over react and have some recovery short afterwards.

Even Hive wasn't spared, this past week has been a bit of a downward spiral. I personally have been picking up Hive from my HBD earnings to take advantage of the lower prices and power up my HP a bit more.

The big question in everyone's head is now what? I don't know, but this next week should be very telling. I'm betting a recovery so I've bought some more BTC as well. Hopefully I chose wisely...

Onto today's post, my weekly Saturday Saver's edition!

The primary goal I have set for this year was to reach 10,000 staked HP. I have increased my HP by 157 this week and currently have 7,523 staked Hive. Overall, not a bad week and I did have an HPUD of around 30 Hive this past week. Once I hit that 10K initial benchmark I'm hoping to push ever higher towards 12K HP, so far so good! If I earn at least 100 HP a week in 24-25 week I'll make it to 10K, but I also plan on exchanging HBD for Hive to get there faster!

Currently I am 75.2% of the way to 10,000 HP!

My secondary goal of the year is to reach 50,000 staked PIMP. I had the same goal last year but just didn't make it, so no failing this time around! I bought one thousand PIMP this week to add to the amount earned from posts and tips. That puts me at 42,262 staked PIMP at the moment. I'm 84.6% of the way to the final goal, so things are looking great!

This is a great token that is backed by physical silver in the PIMP vault as well as by Bitcoin. I'm not aware of any other projects here that can make that claim!

Time to shill my favorite token of them all. It's going to be coming up on a year now since I started this token along with @bitcoinman and @bitcoinman . We saw a void in the ecosystem, which is recruiting and retaining new talent. Not just people here to milk Hive, but those who want to build accounts and strengthen Hive.

To do this our goal is to accumulate enough HP that a portion can be allotted to curate and reward new members. We are actively looking to collaborate with other curating projects who share our vision. Not only that, but to create a Hive school to teach these new members how to succeed and build wealth here on the ecosystem Right now we have 38,050 HP in the curation account and are actively starting to build the school and recruiting some new talent. DUO takes great pride in taking care of our investors and they receive the lions share of the benefits. Once you have 200 staked tokens you can receive a daily curation on your quality posts and receive daily liquid Hive dividends. Once you stake more than 500 DUO you also can use the DUO tip call to tip someone with some DUO, and in return you get the same amount of DUO in your account. It pays to tip others with DUO!

I currently have just over 1,400 total DUO. I'm also buying several tokens weekly. As part of the DUO token team we all agreed to only stake 700 DUO each at the beginning to ensure the majority of dividends go to our investors. My stake is about 40 DUO higher now from just tips, so tips in DUO can be substantial and make sure to use them if you have over 500 staked DUO. Also the DUO team does not currently receive curations on our posts to ensure that our stakers receive the best curations possible.

I don't have an actual goal in mind on this token, but I really like what it strives to do. It was created to help out military veterans here on and off of Hive around the world. Wars leave deep scars both physically and psychologically, the latter often being the worst ones. As a war veteran, I feel it's important to support those who have served in the military, because all too frequently the governments really fails to do so.

I currently hold 21 of these and am buying one or two a week and will continue to do so. It does pay out a daily liquid Hive dividend to holders as well.

It's been a few weeks since I mentioned these. I continue to hold all of these, currently I have 301 DBOND, 59 DAB, and 23 RUG tokens. Staked DBOND produces DAB tokens. Staked DAB tokens pays out staked DBOND on a daily basis and unstaked pays out liquid Hive daily. I continue to let them build by staking both!

RUG works differently in that it takes investments off of Hive and earns returns on decentralized projects. At the moment defi is down overall as are RUG earnings and prices. RUG pays its holders with DBOND which builds up my stack some more. I never invested much into this project as it was during the time we were starting DUO. I am buying some tokens weekly to slowly build up my RUG stake!

I'm still working towards a goal of 200 of these tokens by year's end. I'm at 121 right now and really need to pick up the buying to make it to 200. These tokens pay out liquid Hive dividends on a weekly basis, although the APR will be reduced soon due to decreased rewards from curations. It also offers a daily curation on your quality posts which is a nice perk.

Proof of Brain token is one that I earn from my posts I am staking and then delegating them to pob.voter. In return once a week I receive a liquid Hive dividend from them, which is always welcome. I currently have delegated out 1,444 POB tokens. This week I received 0.196 Hive from pob.voter, so not bad for free Hive? Will it make me rich? No, but I still love free Hive!

Today I'm first featuring the one month graphs of silver and gold prices. Silver took a tumble along with stocks around the world with the tariffs. It's an industrial metal in addition to a precious metal so at times that will happen. Gold also took a hit, but not nearly as much. Both metals are up significantly on the years even after the losses.

With all the world's uncertainty right now these are likely to start climbing once again. When markets are in turmoil people always turn to gold and silver!
