I hope you are all having a great week so far, I sure have been. The weather has been great and more of the same today. But before I dive into my regular Tuesday post, I just found out that today is World Bee Day, so a very Happy World Bee Day too you all. Too bad it isn't World Hive Day, we really should work on getting our own day of the year to celebrate!

I've always been a fan of the Mercury dime. They have a beautiful design that truly is timeless. Produced only from 1916 until 1945, they are very popular among collectors. My parents were both born in the 1940's and would tell me they remembered seeing them in their change when they were young. Collectors quickly began to hoard the dimes once they were discontinued, as they were one of the most popular designs on US coins.

It's Sunday once again which means it's time for another weekly giveaway. It's almost hard to believe I'm on week 62 of this little initiative, I thought it might only last a month or two. It seems to be growing week by week and I'm seeing some new accounts participating which is always a lot of fun. This week there were 43 entries to place on the Wheel of Names, down two from last week making all of your odds a little better!

It's a pleasant morning here so far in southern California. I'm on the second cup of coffee and enjoying my backyard. It's supposed to be a more cloudy day and a little cooler, since those are kind of rare lately it's a welcome change in my book. It should be a great weekend overall, even though I have some side hustle projects to work on today!

Many people don't really bother to even took at their change after a transaction. It's just a few coins and people tend to toss them into a change dish or a bottle and forget about it. And to be completely honest with cashless transactions many of us are seeing less and less change. However, it's always wise to check your change carefully. You never know when you may find a very valuable coin worth far more than the coins themselves.
