April Fool's Day has come at last. However, today I won't be throwing any pranks your direction. Being the first of the month, it is a Hive Power Up Day, so that will be the very first thing to take care of before we get onto the regular Three Tune Tuesday. I had thirty liquid Hive so I powered it all up, I also do small power ups throughout the month as a general rule. I have noticed my HP growing much faster this year as a result!

Now to move on to #threetunetuesday ! First off thanks to
@ablaze for starting and continue to sponsor this fun weekly event. All you have to do is share three fun tunes and use the tags #ttt or #threetunetuesday to participate. Each week one random participant will win some HSBI units, and anything free that helps grow your account is a great thing! It's never a bad thing to do a shoutout to
@ablaze just to be safe.
The first two song I have today come from a relatively unknown singer that has one hell of a voice. She works out of New York City on and off Broadway as an actress and singer. I'm really not sure how I first found her music, but she has a great voice. The last will be a heavy metal cover of The Police by none other than Machine Head, it's a cool song! You'll want to check it out!
Leslie McDonel
Like I mentioned, far from famous. But she has an amazing voice and knows how to work a audience. I wish there were more available from her, but not being a mainstream recording artist we have to enjoy what we can find on YouTube! This first one is a cover of the classic hit from The Divinyls, an Australian band from the 1990's. The band was hard rock/ new wave focused and fronted by Chrissy Amphlett. Sadly she died in 2013 from breast cancer complicated by Multiple Sclerosis, but here Leslie brings her sound back perfectly. This is "I Touch Myself":
Next up by her is another cover called "I've Seen That Movie Too". This one is an Elton John song from back in the 1970's. She does a great vocal job on this song as well. Have a listen:
Machine Head
Now for something a little bit harder...
I have always been a big fan of the band The Police fronted by Sting. They were a talented trio and it was a shame they split ways all those years ago, mostly due to miscommunication. Moral of the story is to use your words I suppose... I have to admit I am a bit of a metal head, and I love heavy metal music. Since I am doing a day of covers I figured it would be fun to at least throw in one very cool one done by Machine Head. Here they covered the tune "Message In A Bottle" by The Police with a nice twist and a much harder sound. It's a lot of fun!
That will wrap up this Three Tune Tuesday and Hive Power Up Day. I hope you enjoyed the post and enjoyed Leslie's vocal talents. If not, I'm sure Machine Head made up for it! Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below, and thank you for all of your support. Have a great day!
