I had thought about going back to see how long ago it's been since the last RIFTWATCHERS Airdrop was release. I quickly decided not to waste my time, because we all know it's been a very long time since Ancient Redwood was first shown to us all. Since then, a couple of proposals have passed that have allowed us to get to this point. First, at the end of June, RIFTWATCHERS have been able to be bought with DEC instead of SPS. Second, at the end of July, at daily burn of RIFTWATCHERS packs was approved, allowing for a daily burn of 15k packs per day
So with further ado, I present SEA WRECK...
Sea
This monster is simply a BEAST!!
First off, I (not so) secretly love the art. Very clearly a water monster, with the makings of a "ship wreck" forming it's face and back. But more importantly, this monsters is gonna wreck it' opponents. A solid 4 armor, huge 13 Health, and painful 4 Melee attack will hold up well as the newest Water deck tank. But more importantly, you've got Return Fire to resist Ranged monsters and Reflect Magic to take on Magic monsters. Then, it's gonna be able to Amplify these defensive attacks, adding even more hurt. Add in heal to keep itself going AND Bloodlust!?!? This is going to be a prize possession for anyone that can get it to max level.
Anyone else think Splinterlands is trying to drum up more interest in RIFTWATCHERS packs for people trying to get themselves a piece of the action here?

Battle #2 - Win
Ruleset - Fire & Regret / Earthquake / Lost Magic

I started a little slow, but having a few flying monsters in an Earthquake ruleset made a huge difference and led to another win.

Battle #3 - Win
Ruleset - Reverse Speed / Up Close & Personal

This is where Mylor still thrives. Melee only ruleset with Up Close & Personal and Thorns just tears my opponent apart. Isgald Vorst had a chance at making things interesting as it started gaining some major strength thanks to Bloodlust, but I was able to neutralize that threat before it got too strong to handle.

Battle #4 - Win
Ruleset - Odd Ones Out / Born Again / Target Practice

Born again really makes for some long and interesting battles. Just when you think things are heading in one direction, a Rebirth can change the tide back the other way. Fortunately for me, I stay in control almost the entire fight. This was especially helped by my Magic trio, who were able to get around my opponents boosted armor and quickly kill any monsters who were brought back from the dead.

Battle #5 - Loss
Ruleset - Briar Patch / Stampede / Silence Summoner

This was a close one, but unfortunately for me Whistling Damon with Bloodlust increased his attack enough to kill my Oshannus one round before I could take out Life Sapper. Life Sapper was the last unit standing before Whistling Damon would've wound up in the tank spot and rendered useless because he doesn't have Close Range.

Battle #6 - Win
Ruleset - Armored Up / Counterspell / Supersneak

Normally in a Supersneak ruleset, and especially with the added Armor Up rule, I like to shake things up and go heavy magic. However, with Counterspell also in play, that would end up being disastrously for me. So I embrace Supersneak and Armor Up and go Melee/Anti-Melee using Mylor. Mycellic Infantry stays in the back to protect from the sneak attacks. As I thought with using magic, my opponent's Chaos Dragon ends up taking itself out getting hit with reflected Magic from not only it's target, but the monsters hit with blast damage. Uloth Dhampir also aids in the win with some well timed stuns to slow down my opponents attack.

Battle #7 - Loss
Ruleset - Equal Opportunity / Up Close & Personal

Mylor worked out great the first 2 times I used him, and it was almost another one. But as we all know, almost doesn't count. My biggest problem in this was my speed. Having missed several times, my opponent got in several extra attacks and allowed Chimney Wallstop to get a bunch of kills in. Bloodlust really builds up to and insurmountable level.

I'm extremely happy with finishing 5-2. Getting back to some solid wins here in the Silver league, Gold foil fray. I'm hoping to keep this momentum going and stay in the winning side of things.
