Hello to all the members of this community and cat lovers! Last weekend I was traveling to the city where my cat Ikki lives. My boyfriend @yugochin is in charge of my cat's care. At home, Ikki has more space, access to a large plot of land, and of course, my boyfriend's company. This last part is important because Ikki likes being with my boyfriend more than with me 😅 This calms me down, because cats tend to get depressed when they're separated from their "favorite humans."

Once I arrived and called him, Ikki meowed instantly, which made me understand that he recognized my voice. When he came closer, he rubbed against my leg and let me pick him up (Ikki is usually very unsociable and can barely stand being held for a few seconds), without kicking for me to put him down. I could tell from his eyes that he liked me petting him, and that made me very happy 😍

But what filled my heart with joy the most was during the nights, when Ikki would try to curl up in one of my arms and let me hug him. He usually prefers to sleep next to my boyfriend because he's bigger than me, or he'd simply sleep near the window when I'm visiting. 😅 That's why I was touched when he would seek me out at night to sleep next to me. I admit that sometimes I wanted to move in the middle of the night and wouldn't do it so as not to disturb him. 😌

My boyfriend is usually the one who takes good photos of Ikki and sends them to me, but during this visit, I was able to take some good ones myself. Ikki looks spectacular in the sunlight, so outdoor photos come out even better because you can really appreciate the details of his face, like his charming eyes. It's worth mentioning that Ikki doesn't like cameras, so getting a head-on photo of him is always a challenge for me 😅

On this visit, I was supposed to bring her a new harness, but I didn't have time to finish it in time, so instead, I made her a new collar and bought her another one during one of my trips downtown. Luckily, the harness she has is still functional, even more so after repairing one of the pieces that had broken (sewing skills are good to have). I hope, for my next visit, to bring her a new harness as a gift 😊

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de los gatos! El fin de semana pasado estuve de viaje en la ciudad en donde vive mi gato Ikki, quién está a cargo de mi novio @yugochin, ya que en su casa, Ikki tiene mayor espacio, acceso a un terreno amplio y por supuesto, dispone de la compañía de mi novio; esto último es importante porque a Ikki le gusta más estar con mi novio que conmigo 😅 eso me tranquiliza, porque los gatos suelen deprimirse cuando son separados de sus "humanos favoritos".

Una vez que llegué y lo llamé, Ikki maulló al instante, lo cual me hizo dar a entender que reconocía mi voz. Al acercarse, se restregó contra mi pierna y me dejó cargarlo (Ikki suele ser muy arisco y apenas soporta que lo carguen unos segundos), sin patalear para que lo bajase. Supe en su mirada que le gustaba que lo estuviera mimando y eso, me hizo muy feliz 😍

Pero, lo que más me llenó el corazón de alegría, fue durante las noches, ya que Ikki buscaba de acomodarse en uno de mis brazos y me dejaba abrazarlo. Por lo general, él suele preferir dormir al lado de mi novio, porque tiene mayor masa corporal que yo o simplemente dormir cerca de la ventana cuando estoy de visita 😅 por eso, me enterneció que me buscase en las noches para dormir a mi lado; admito que en ocasiones, quería moverme en la madrugada y no lo hacía para no molestarlo 😌

Por lo general, mi novio es quién consigue buenas fotografías de Ikki y me las envía, aunque, durante esta visita pude tomarle buenas fotografías por mi cuenta. Ikki luce espectacular gracias a los rayos del sol, así que, las fotos en exterior salen mucho mejor, porque se puede apreciar los detalles de su rostro, como sus encantadores ojos. Cabe mencionar que a Ikki no le gusta la cámara, así que obtener una fotografían frontal de él, siempre me resulta un desafío 😅

Se suponía que en esta visita, le llevaría un arnés nuevo, pero no me dio tiempo de terminarla a tiempo, así que en su lugar, le hice un collar nuevo y le compré otro durante una de mis salidas al centro. Por suerte, el arnés que tiene todavía es funcional y más, luego de reparar una de las piezas que se había roto (es bueno tener habilidades de costura). Espero, para mi próxima visita, llevarle de regalo su arnés nuevo 😊
