Hello to all members of this community and art lovers! One of my favorite activities while in Caracas, Venezuela, is attending the various exhibitions available to the public in the various galleries and museums. Since I decided to visit these places, I feel that my confidence as an artist has not only increased, but my inspiration and appreciation for the work of other artists has filled me with great satisfaction 😌

On this occasion, I will show you the pieces of the visual artist Ramón Aular, which were on display at the National Art Gallery. Through various materials, especially textiles, the artist demonstrates his commitment to connection, since throughout his artistic career, Ramón has sought to gain knowledge of the country's indigenous communities, with whom he has shared and been inspired to create his works, which, through abstract means, invite the viewer to intertwine a story that has its origins in the subtle.

I mentioned it in a few previous posts, but before I started visiting art galleries, my mind was truly limited when it came to art, and I thought that every work of art had to be a painting or sculpture. Textile work and work involving different materials outside of the "ordinary" fascinates me. The threads in Ramón's work convey to me that feeling of an artist who gradually creates their work, just like someone who weaves a garment. Humans are emotional beings, and through connecting with others, we achieve what we need.

Something wonderful that Ramón created was a huge canvas on which he drew several orchids. It turns out that the artist has taken this rug to different parts of the world and has allowed locals to interact with it in any way they've wanted, whether it's dancing on it, using it as a prayer mat, or even sheltering themselves from the rain. That's amazing! His idea was to convey that art goes beyond simply being displayed in a museum and to demonstrate that it can transcend existing barriers. We can see photographs of where the painting has been displayed in the gallery.

I found out a few weeks ago that they were going to do some sort of session where you could take a photo with Ramón's canvas. Unfortunately, although I would have loved to have an incredible photo like the ones on display, I couldn't attend that day... But at least when I went to the exhibition, I was able to take a selfie with the canvas. Hehe. I hope in the future to figure out how to take full-body solo photos 😆

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de ésta comunidad y amantes del arte! Una de mis actividades favoritas estando en la ciudad de Caracas (Venezuela), es poder asistir a las diferentes exposiciones que se encuentran a disposición del público en las distintas galerías y museos. Desde que tomé la determinación de visitar estos lugares, siento que mi confianza como artista no sólo aumentado, sino que la inspiración y mi apreciación por el trabajo de otros artistas, me llena de muchísima satisfacción 😌

En ésta ocasión, les mostraré las piezas del artista plástico Ramón Aular, las cuales se hallaban expuestas en la Galería de arte Nacional. A través de diversos materiales, en donde destaca lo textil, el artista nos demuestra su compromiso con la conexión, puesto que según su trayectoria artística, Ramón ha buscado obtener conocimiento de comunidades aborígenes del país, con quienes ha compartido e inspirado para la realización de sus obras, que desde una forma abstracta, invitan al espectador a entrelazar una historia que tiene sus orígenes en lo sutil.

Lo mencioné en unos post pasados, pero antes de comenzar a asistir a las galerías de arte, mi mente estaba realmente limitada en cuanto al arte y pensaba que toda obra de arte, tenía que ser necesariamente de pintura o una escultura. El trabajo textil y donde se involucren diferentes materiales fuera de lo "ordinario", me fascina. Los hilos en la obra de Ramón me transmite ese sentimiento del artista que poco a poco va creando su obra, así como quién teje una prenda de vestir. Los seres humanos somos seres emocionales y a través de la conexión con los demás, logramos obtener eso que necesitamos.

Algo maravilloso que creó Ramón, fue la elaboración de un lienzo enorme en dónde dibujó varias orquídeas. Resulta que el artista ha llevado éste tapete por diferentes partes del mundo y ha dejado a los habitantes interactuar con el lienzo de la forma que han deseado, ya sea para bailar encima de él, usarlo de tapete re rezo o hasta para cubrirse de la lluvia ¡Eso es alucinante! Su idea era la de transmitir que el arte va más allá de estar simplemente expuestos en un museo y demostrar que el mismo, puede traspasar las barreras existentes. Podemos apreciar en la sala, las fotografías de en dónde ha estado la pintura.

Me enteré hace unas semanas atrás que iban a hacer una especie de sesión en dónde ibas a poder tomarte una fotografía con el lienzo de Ramón. Lamentablemente, aunque me hubiese fascinado tener una fotografía increíble como las que estaban expuestas, no pude asistir ese día... Pero al menos cuando fui a la exposición, pude tomarme una selfie con el lienzo jeje espero en un futuro, conseguir la forma de tomar fotografías en solitario de cuerpo completo 😆
