Description from Strava:
After my long run on Sunday I need some time to recover, so this was just a case of stretching my legs with no plans to go especially quick. It is the same route I have done hundreds of times, but I added some extra distance. It was quite nice out there and I worked up quite a sweat.

I could hear a few birds and spotted one squirrel. I saw plenty of dogs with their owners and a couple of cats out alone.

I have just about finished the Who Killed JFK? podcast series. One of the presenters is movie director Rob Reiner who was murdered along with his wife a couple of months back. He has been fascinated by the JFK assassination since he saw the coverage as a kid. I had not looked into it, so this was interesting. I do not generally listen to history or crime documentary podcasts, but decided to give this a try. It seems there is plenty of evidence that Lee Harvey Oswald was not the shooter and was set up over years to take the blame. The CIA, the Mafia and Cuban exiles were all involved as they looked for ways to blame Cuba so they could take it back from Fidel Castro. Obviously that did not happen and Castro remained in power for decades. With a lot of cases like this we may never know all the details as most of those involved are dead (sometimes just before testifying) and the CIA may be holding records that will never be released.

There are plenty of conspiracy theories out there, but it can be hard to cover up wrongdoing, especially when lots of people are involved. Sometimes bad things happen due to chance or incompetence, but then that may be covered up too.

It was a nice run where I worked fairly hard. I am trying to build up my weekly distance, so may make some of my runs longer.

Enjoy your week and run free!
