We all have to follow certain rules in our day to day life. Setting rules provides structure, guidance, and order, fostering safety, fairness, and efficiency for individuals. Many people like to avoid rules in their life. But adhering to rules provides guidance, helps individuals understand acceptable behavior, and often aligns with their self-interest by preventing negative consequences and fostering trust. Setting rules is always beneficial, and so does in our walking. Walking is considered to be a good physical activities. But setting up certain rules to it may prove to be very beneficial. Recently I learned about "6-6-6" walking rules.
(own edited image)The "6-6-6 walking rule" is a simple fitness routine that encourages two 60-minute walks daily, one at 6 AM and another at 6 PM, with a 6-minute warm-up and 6-minute cool-down for each walk. This structured approach aims to make walking a consistent and beneficial part of your daily routine.
Here's a breakdown:
A morning walk can energize you for the day, potentially improving circulation and boosting metabolism.
An evening walk can help unwind and reduce stress after a busy day, potentially improving sleep quality.
Each walk is intended to be a 60-minute duration, allowing for a good workout and potentially aiding in weight loss.
- 6-Minute Warm-Up and Cool-Down:
These short warm-up and cool-down periods help prepare our body for the walk and assist with recovery afterward. Start the walk with 6 minutes warm up and ends the walk with some cool down. Which helps.in regulating our heartbeat and blood flow. The warm-up and cool-down periods help your body transition into and out of exercise, which can help prevent injuries.
The 6-6-6 walking rule is a structured and balanced way to walk that can help us improve our physical fitness and overall health. Walking can reduce your risk of developing chronic diseases like diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Regular walking can help lower your blood pressure and improve blood flow. It also helps in enhancing our mood.
The 6-6-6 walking rule is designed to be easy to incorporate into our daily routine and offers potential benefits like improved heart health, reduced stress, and enhanced mental clarity. It can be a sustainable and effective way to increase your daily physical activity. I am trying to incorporate in my routine. I practiced 2 days does feel certain difference. Setting rules for ourself does appears to create contaraint, but that going to help in long run.
In good faith - Peace!!
