Summer vacation is one of the peak holiday time for many Indian. Summer can be a time for students to discover new skills, learn about different cultures, or develop a greater sense of independence. As the achool remain closed during these time, the parent too get an oppurtunity to go on a holiday along with their kid. This allows them not to disturb the daily school of their kid and also these vacation offers more opportunities for families to spend quality time together, whether through travel, outdoor activities, or simply relaxing at home.
This is the time when most of the hill station in India see enormous amount of rush. The tourist visit these hill station to get some relaxation from the scorching heat. My friend quite busy with the work, asked me to make a plan. The first problem that we faced is that both of us lives far away from each other. He is In Delhi and me in my hometown around 1400 km apart. But he is ready to cover the distance via road. He asked me to make a travel plan, either to Burma, or Nepal or Shimla. All of the places were engulfed with natural beauty. I checked all the destination considering all our comfort. ***Visting Burma is quite an expensive affair due to $200 / Day visa fees plus $100 for daily expenses (meals, accommodation etc). So we switched our plan to Nepal, it was again a hill station, I wanted to visit their due to Pashupatinath Shiva temple. But me and my friend are of differrnt religion. He will not be interested in visiting temple and me skipping that from itinary is not possible. So we zeroed on to our final choice I.e Sikkim.

Sikkim is a popular tourist destination due to its stunning natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and diverse adventure opportunities. It's known for its snow-capped mountains, including the world's third-highest peak, Kanchenjunga, as well as lush forests, sparkling lakes, and unique biodiversity. The state also boasts a vibrant Buddhist cultural heritage, reflected in its numerous monasteries and spiritual retreats.
Sikkim is not far away from my place. It is an overnight bus journey, to reach Siliguri, before we can travel further to hills. It was an easy affair, but my friend insisted for a road trip. As said he is OK to travel to my place and I can join midway enroute. But that going to be quite hectic for him and also, private vehicle are not allowed up on the hill. Talking to him sounds his frustration of living in cities. It reminded me of my days, when I too always get frustrated to move out, due to excessive workload or the city chaos. Understanding his situation, I try to calm him down and convince him to come viabtrain, which going to be easy than road driving.
I made train reservation for him, from Delhi. So far we are planning to reach their differently and unite at the Siliguri town. The plan is in place but the execution is doubtful, as the train ticket is not yet confirmed. I put the road travel as the secondary option. So still our adventure trip is full planned and waiting for perfect execeution. Me and my friend are both excited for this trip after a long time. It is going to be a 10 to 12 day of travel and hope we enjoy it fullest.
In good faith - Peace!!
