Adding some shelving to one of my out buildings has been something I have been thinking about doing for awhile. I built some of this shelving in my workshop and was really happy with the product. So I bought three more and got to building them.
These shelves are really though and can hold a lot of weight. With three of them I should have lots of space to start with to put things there.
It all starts with the lower frame, piecing the vertical bars to the horizontal supports.
Taking everything out of the box and placing it together helps.
After about 45 minutes I have one built. Now its time to build two more.
I can set the height of the shelves to whatever I want. So I went with big spaces below and little ones up high. So I can put large heavy objects on the bottom to keep the shelves stable.
The nice thing about having one of the shelves built is now I have a place to put all the parts for the next one.. no more working on the floor..lol
Trash is starting to build up, but I will separate the cardboard and bag up the plastic.
These shelves look small in comparison to the building they are in... lol
The last shelf on top I almost need a ladder so I think they are tall enough for what I need.
I am really happy with the product, its made of all steel.. no plastic parts.
Everything fits in and then tapped with a mallet.
Once it is all built the structure is quite strong.
Even the paneling for the shelves is high quality.. should hold lots of weight.
For now it holds the tools i used to assemble it.. But soon this area will be quite busy with lots of work and we will need these shelves for placement of tools and materials.
