It is the doldrums of Indian Summer for this #mushroommonday Indian summer is a brief time in fall where it gets hotter than summer before snapping into cold. This is of course a bad time for finding mushrooms. I was able to find this berekeley's polypore, but sadly it was tough and dried out by the time I found it.
Watch on 3SpeakA groundbreaking drilling project has shattered conventional theories about planetary formation. Instead of the long-held belief that planets coalesced from space dust through gravitational attraction scientists have made a startling discovery. A highly advanced gyroscope is located within the Earth's core, moving in precise and predictable patterns.
Fall is starting for #featheredfriday This little guy was hanging out in a tree sneakily above my head. I'm not sure if it is a warbler or perhaps even a warbling vireo? Try as I might I could not get a side view shot of this guy bouncing around everywhere. I was hoping to see a wing pattern for identification.
Here is another ballpoint pen drawing for this #trippythursday The squiggle has pierced the veil between this world and the ethereal realm of spirits. It had help from a deranged shaman who did a ritual wrong and accessed the wrong spiritual dimension. Instead of summoning a powerful spirit guide the shaman summoned a meager squiggle. The shaman asked the squiggle many questions about the universe and for hidden knowledge. Sadly the squiggle is a primitive spiritual life form that lives in the swamps of its world eating whatever lands at the bottom of the lake. It could only answer with methane gas puffs. Soon the shaman became annoyed and tried to figure out an incantation to send the squiggle back to its realm. Unfortunately since he did the summoning incantation wrong the first time he has to try and remember how to do the same incantation wrong but backwards... Sadly it did not work and the poor squiggle is doomed to be trapped here farting out methane. The shaman now has to contact scientists who might want to tap into this infinite form of gaseous energy.
Here is a summer walk to the swamp for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay This limestone running path goes for miles and miles and spans across quite a few suburbs. I like to take it's side paths to scope out hidden swamps for critters.
Here is a synthwave artist known as Daniel Deluxe for this #threetunetuesday by @ablaze Here is a composition called Infiltrator. Most of this style of music sounds like the intro to some c list sci-fi movie where someone is working on a time machine in their garage that ends up actually working, but a serious flaw causes the whole thing to fall apart with serious consequences...
