A miniseries of only four episodes, it was nominated for an Oscar for best documentary. The series exposes the deep flaws in the American judicial and police system. A tremendously heartbreaking and spectacular series. It's incredible that these things happen. I can't even imagine what it must feel like to go through life-changing situations. I felt powerless, angry, and outraged by the reality we live in today.

Una miniserie de solo 4 episodios, nominada a un Óscar a mejor documental. La serie expone las profundas grietas que presenta el sistema judicial y policial estadounidense, Una serie tremendamente desgarradora y espectacular, es algo increíble que estas cosas sucedan, no puedo ni imaginar lo que se puede llegar a sentir cuando se atraviesa por esas situaciones que te marcan la vida, me sentí impotente, con rabia e indignado con una realidad que se vive hoy en día.

As an observer, I was immersed in the diverse performances and a script that allowed the prosecutors and lawyers to shine in their interventions, right up to the final scenes of this intense and well-documented miniseries. Manifiesta un ordenamiento claro y preciso, destacando en cada escena la eficiencia en la intervención de cada uno de los actores. Como observador estuve con todos los sentidos, entendiendo las diversas actuaciones y un libreto que permite destacar a los fiscales y abogados en sus intervenciones, hasta las últimas escenas de esta miniserie intensa y documentada. ¡Excelente!!, Con las interpretaciones vibrantes de los jóvenes que cargan con el peso de la historia, con una producción artística, recreando el ambiente de finales de los 80.
Thanks to a very solid script, which avoids the sentimentality that would have been a temptation, and also avoids making proclamations about justice, letting the story itself speak for itself and confront the viewer with what they see. Furthermore, the structure of the miniseries gives each of the four chapters a substance that allows the entire story to unfold with very good narrative rhythm. We can see a racism entrenched in American society, an injustice that doesn't seem blind or impartial, but rather biased and manipulable, where it should be the same for everyone. From a family perspective, we can see the loyalty and constant support they give their children throughout the process.
Por un guion muy sólido, que evita el sentimentalismo que hubiera sido una tentación, y tampoco cae en proclamas sobre la justicia, dejando que sea la propia historia la que hable por sí misma y confronte al espectador con lo que ve–. Además, la estructura de la miniserie da a cada uno de los cuatro capítulos una entidad que permite desplegar con muy buen ritmo narrativo toda la historia. Podemos apreciar un racismo asentado en la sociedad estadounidense, una injusticia que no parece ciega ni imparcial, sino sesgada y manipulable, donde debería ser igual para todos, desde lo familiar podemos ver la lealtad y el apoyo constante que le dan a sus hijos en todo el proceso.

La dificultad para la reinserción también es otro de los temas que merece la pena considerar. La permanencia de los prejuicios. La sospecha que estigmatiza a quien ha sido acusado.
