Here are some photos sitting around my "drafts" for quite some time now, from an art opening and music concert at the Doubting Thomas Gallery in Cleveland's Tremont area.
Two of my favorite local outsider artists had featured work present, including Pat Modugno, aka Khaki Blazer (of Moth Cock fame) and Jim Matzorkis. Today I will be sharing photos of both of their art!

(I bought this one)
Pat does a these wonderful and colorful collages, sometimes incorporating mixed media and found objects, in addition to "Frankensteining" action figures into new, surreal toys by replacing their heads and limbs with other toy parts. Pretty cool!
Mickey has been hitting the gym, I see...

Now Jim, on the other hand, did some kind of "childhood dream room" installation, combining found objects with paint and pencil and ink in....the way that only he could do it.

There was even a little snuggly corner to get comfy in!

Chicken scratch or abstract interpretation of life? You decide.

This definitely appears to be some kind of paper mache treasure chest thorn bundle?

Oh, the night wouldn't be complete without some live sound art

I don't know who did the paper Venus fly traps...but here they are in all their glory! There were some other artists, but I didn't take photos of everything, unfortunately.

Thanks for reading...and enjoying the arts.
