Hi everyone!
I come back with some study sheets. I like to study characters such like Donald Duck, Mickey, Bucks Bunny,.. because they are very well designed ; they are a lot of people who have been working on them, years after years, so it is really a reference.
And you can see that they have a lot of details and complexity but keep very lisible and dynamic, which is a balance that is not that easy to have in character design.
All characters are construct starting from a shape, mostly several shapes.
The challenge is to identify the correct shape lol
Sometimes starting from a shape that is not precisely traced is more complex than helpful for the final design.
On the second sheet I drew Bucks Bunny mouth open but I didn't drew him right - it feels flat and facials features are not in the right place, especially the eyes, which broke the sensation of volume.
Hope you will like it! 😉
See you soon for more.
