Looks like we're getting a taste of warm summer this weekend. So I decided to move my painting setup out to the balcony this time. And honestly, it wasn't until then that I realized just how much stuff I need for painting 😊 Here's the rundown: paints, palette, brushes, water cup, rag for cleaning brushes, Pepsi to drink, tablet with my reference image, paper board, chair... You end up walking back and forth so many times just to get everything set up and then put away again 😊

A lobster peeking out of a pot hints that this article will be about food. Specifically, it's about a Street Food Festival in Přerov.The town square in front of the shopping gallery was packed with food stalls. Mexican cuisine, Peruvian dishes, Vietnamese fare, Nigerian delicacies, gyros, and los Churros. Meanwhile, wine enthusiasts and craft beer lovers were everywhere, naturally 😊

When I finished the last brushstrokes, I had no idea what was about to unfold. The dancer in blue, whom I'd been painting all day, suddenly twitched. At first, I thought I was hallucinating from hunger or maybe I'd had one too many glasses of wine, but no ‒ she actually moved! Her turquoise skirt began to ripple, as if caught by an invisible breeze, and her black bodice gleamed with reflections from silver chains and pendants.

The wine in her hand remained light as a spring breeze drifting through the open window. Anna sat on a stone step, where each crack was overgrown with fresh moss awakening after winter. The glass, red as the first blooming poppies, absorbed the soft spring light from the window, where young shoots in a terracotta pot eagerly stretched their leaves toward the sun.

The most important moments in our lives happen at the threshold. Whatever that means to you – at the boundary between dreams and reality, on the edge between decision and hesitation, between longing and uncertainty.This painting captures exactly that kind of liminal space. It's that magical moment of sunset when the day is dying but night hasn't yet taken the stage. A place where waves kiss the shore. And the young woman in white dress with dark hair flowing in the wind – maybe she's standing at her own threshold too. Does she carry secrets? Does she hold dreams? Vulnerable yet strong, small against the vastness of the ocean, but infinitely important to herself.
