One of those amazing days and I will also show you some differences.
The first shot above is a close up of the two shots below of the same mountain.
All of the sights you see below took me about an hour to take the photos. The reason for the changes is a very strong south-easter wind known as the Cape Doctor over here. That wind can blow one off one's feet and it can trip big trucks. I will show you the effect on the mountains. Some areas get it worse than others, like Cape Agulhas and some of the towns along the coast, like Gordon's Bay. It really becomes very restless, and unless one makes a mind change by accepting the conditions, the wind stirs a big restlessness in one's soul. It reminds me of an old song and some lyrics of the song describe this wind. "Oh, the wayward wind, is a restless wind, a restless wind that yearns to wander".
This is a shot a bit further out.
And this is a full exposure.
This is the before.
And this is the after.
Couldn't resist to also place some shots about the clouds on the mountain range.
See how the wind drives the clouds on the mountain range.
Another isolated shot.
And finally, the clouds closed in.
I never talk about politics in my posts, but I just have to mention the latest issue regarding Trump and all of his tariff increases. South Africa is reckoned by Trump, to be one of the worst countries, and he has hit us very hard with a 30% overall tariff rate. Apart from that, he has also rocked up with a 25% tariff on all vehicles that are exported from South Africa to the USA. The amazing thing for me, is that our government screws up and the poor in the country will now have increased sufferings.
Imagine if 60% of your salary goes to transport and electricity, and with 40% you will have to cover your debts and buy food for the month. Impossible? Exactly. And there are so many others that are unemployed, so where do they get money to live. They get a measly government grant and can afford only the very basics of food. Oh yes, we are very worried as now the Non-Profit Organisations and the charities are also starting to close their doors. At Papillon we will just continue, and I will be forced to rely on Hive for our continued existence.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
