A relationship doesn't exist without a communication which points to the fact that you can't truly claim you know anyone without some form of communications. You can't say you know God if there is no flow of communication between you two. God speaks to us in various forms and speaks to each of us in different ways or form too. How He speaks to one might not necessarily be how He speaks with another.
We have been mandated to continually grow in grace. Growing means to progress and once you have given your life to Christ, you need to grow and not stay static. God will always do His own part and we also have a part to play in growing. Growing cannot be forced which is why you have to be intentional about yours.
Waiting is one thing most people don't like to do. We live in a time where we want something and we want it now. Waiting builds strength and patience and there are some things that are worth waiting for. We have seen a lot of examples in the Bible with those who waited for God to come through for them without going through shortcuts no matter how painstakingly it was.
Watch on 3SpeakThis week, there is no theme, so I decided to do a freestyle with rap to Eminem's song titled "Stan" featuring "DidoEnjoy...Lyrics[Intro: Dido] My tea’s gone cold, I’m wondering why I Got out of bed at all The morning rain clouds up my window And I can’t see at all And even if I could it’d all be gray But your picture on my wall It reminds me that it’s not so bad, it’s not so bad
When we praise God, we are praising Him for who He is and all He stands for. It shouldn't be used as a means to enticing Him to get something from Him. Praise can be a worthy weapon. David came to mind...he purely praised God for who He is and what He has done for him.
In all things we should give thanks regardless of the state of our mind; whether it's happiness or sadness. Being grateful should be a constant state of our mind. When we constantly put ourselves in a state of complaining, we overlook so many things that God has done for us. Our mind and focus shifts and we start tending towards the slippery slope.
