Today was scheduled to be off but wouldn’t ya know it my hostess had to turn into a dishwasher and a server called in, so off to work I went. Everything went well and some of the guests left sweet treats for me to share with my family. They sure do look good. On top of that we had another great ozarklife sunset so I did a little mid dinner rush photography.
Ah, to be up before the break of day coffee in hand looking forward to an aliveandthriving day here in Ozarklife. The sunrise was nice today, but not as bright as some mornings. Not too bad for just wandering out the front door right?
Hello Actifriends as you all know usually I love to tell you all about the beauty and all the wonderful things about Ozarklife. Today was a very blunt reminder that I’m no longer in the PNW. Today a regular threatened my life because as a manager I was “firing all the good employees”. Now I’ve been in the service industry for 33 years and as you may imagine I’ve dealt with many, shall we say sticky situations, but today was a first and hopefully the last time I will feel actually threatened by a guest. Well now on a brighter note the night is over the rest of the guests left happy, the large private party went off without a hitch and we had an amazing sunset.
Well hello actifriends it’s been awhile. Things have been busy here in ozarklife with madame-cyntaia going back to college and me still doing the restaurant manager thing, no worries though we are aliveandthriving life is beautiful and so are our sunsets! I had ment to start posting again on Friday, and again on Saturday but you know LIFE! Anyway here are a couple nice pictures from Friday nights sunset.
Today I woke up wide awake and ready to face the world. I woke up the kiddo for school and started preparing for the day. As I looked around outside as the sun was rising I noticed an explosion of colors greeting me. Such a wonderful way to start an aliveandthriving day in Ozarklife. After getting kiddo off to school it was time to get prepped for my 9-9 shift, it’s always long days for me these days but I do get 3-4 days off a week so it balances out pretty well. I served some guests and tried to make some of that precious tip income to supplement my salary, but alas there were few guests and other waiters. As things go it started to pick up around sunset, and was it a beautiful one tonight. Since I had time I stepped out to take a couple more photographs. 12000 steps plus later it’s time to call it a night my actifriends and pimps, have an amazing night, be well, and may the sports be with you!
I spent my day working the restaurant floor, managing the front of house staff and checking in with guests to ensure that they were getting both good food and service. It was a slow one today but it is off season here in Ozarklife. It’s times like these that I’m super happy I took a salary for management.
