Hey everyone! (therapy in the pool)First things first ... Brian is alive and "well", all things considered! That's not to say things have been running smoothly though; Brian had a major stroke several months ago, and truthfully, I believed that he had reached his end. He was paralyzed on his right side and unable to speak, except to say you know, and fuck. Trust me when I say, I heard plenty of of those :)

I know that for most of you, life has moved past the holidays, but things have just begun to get back to normal here. The holidays in Playa began on December 16 and went straight through til January 6th! That includes crazy fireworks going off any time of the day and night too, excessive and late night drinking/parties, loud music, dogs barking ... did I say fireworks? :) It is all quite the spectacle!

This month I celebrated my 53rd birthday and truthfully, birthdays don't bother me, nor are they a huge deal either. But this year, I had my son with me, so it was extremely special, and just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Brian surprised me with this amazing artwork from @unyimeetuk! If you don't already follow him, please do because he's a wonderful artist, an equally wonderful guy, and completely undervalued here :)

Hi everyone!We had such a fantastic week with our son Patrick, and Brian managed the week like a real trooper! My son works in the hospitality industry and has to stay clean shaven, so this week he said, absolutely no razors :) We hadn't seen each other in over a year and a half, so this reunion was a long time coming!

I had full intentions of writing another "update" post when we returned from Dallas, back to Mexico last Friday, but I've been busy filling my days with busy work, solely for the purpose of not having to think too much. sigh ... that only lasts for so long, so here I sit, facing my reality.
