As always, my process started with a sketch. This is where I allowed my imagination to run free, capturing the pose and emotion I wanted for Electric Rabbit. I chose a dynamic jumping pose that conveys energy and movement, with her hand reaching forward as if to break through the canvas itself.
Como siempre, mi proceso comenzó con un boceto. Aquí es donde dejé volar mi imaginación, capturando la pose y la emoción que quería para Electric Rabbit. Elegí una postura dinámica, como si estuviera saltando, transmitiendo energía y movimiento, con su mano extendida hacia adelante como si quisiera romper el lienzo.
Next came the lineart, where I carefully defined each contour and expression. The key here was to keep the lines clean and expressive, especially around the face and hair. I wanted the eyes to be the focal point, and the motion in her pose to flow naturally.
Luego pasé al delineado, donde definí cuidadosamente cada contorno y expresión. La clave aquí fue mantener líneas limpias y expresivas, especialmente en el rostro y el cabello. Quería que los ojos fueran el punto focal y que el movimiento en su postura fluyera de manera natural.
Coloring brought the character to life. I used a palette that matched her energetic theme: vibrant oranges, electric yellows, deep purples. Every color choice was intentional, aiming to create contrast and harmony at the same time.
El coloreado le dio vida al personaje. Usé una paleta que coincidiera con su temática energética: naranjas vibrantes, amarillos eléctricos, púrpuras intensos. Cada elección de color fue intencional, buscando crear contraste y armonía al mismo tiempo.
I added shadows to bring depth, focusing on the folds of her hoodie, the movement in her skirt, and the soft curves of her hair. This helped build the volume and gave the image a more three-dimensional feel.
Añadí sombras para aportar profundidad, enfocándome en los pliegues de la sudadera, el movimiento de la falda y las suaves curvas del cabello. Esto ayudó a construir volumen y darle a la imagen una sensación más tridimensional.
Highlights were essential to make her pop from the background. I applied bright lighting effects on her gloves, shoes, and hair tips, simulating the spark of electricity that surrounds her.
Los brillos fueron esenciales para hacerla resaltar del fondo. Apliqué efectos de luz brillante en sus guantes, zapatos y las puntas del cabello, simulando la chispa eléctrica que la rodea.
Finally, the background tied it all together. I painted bold lightning bolts in a glowing yellow-white, creating an electric storm around her. The contrast between the warm and cool tones made her leap out of the screen with energy.
Finalmente, el fondo unificó toda la composición. Pinté rayos audaces en un blanco-amarillo resplandeciente, creando una tormenta eléctrica a su alrededor. El contraste entre los tonos cálidos y fríos hizo que ella sobresaliera con energía.
Creating this fan art was such a joyful experience. Electric Rabbit’s concept is full of possibilities, and translating that into an anime-styled human character gave me the freedom to explore a more energetic and expressive version of her. I’m proud of how she turned out and hope she brings a spark of joy to anyone who sees her.

El concepto de Electric Rabbit está lleno de posibilidades, y traducirlo a un personaje humanizado en estilo anime me dio la libertad de explorar una versión más energética y expresiva de ella.
