Read a post earlier that made me think a little about things and I guess the current state of things. I can be quite a cynical person when it comes to the general way the world works, I think that's probably quite normal in this day and age. News are all about the bad things that are happening because they know that's what will get them traffic so indulging in taking in some of that info daily can put someone in a pretty terrible mood and even become quite jaded over time.

Alright, I've been meaning to write this post for some time now but have been quite busy with other things. I'd like to start off with the elephant in the room. Sponsorships in terms of having "Hive" visible in places that primarily are viewed by "web2 folks". This is something that's been funded quite heavily from what I've seen from Rally Cars to a Handball stadium to athletes doing shows in malls, etc.

So I watched a video the other day where your boy Asmongold the OC wow content creator was reacting to someone reacting to something that had occurred with the recent wow expansion and it kind of just made me sad. Games launch in different ways, for instance we plan on first launching @holozing in private alpha only and inviting a few people we know have experience not only with such games but also to test them and help balance them out. Other games may have these "early access" events as well, players can help do the same there, decide on what's working and what isn't and what they'd like changed and then check what the wisdom of the crowd thinks about it.

There's often talks about our unstake function taking too long and people preferring a faster method. At first glance some may argue this is so people can leave the platform quicker but I believe the better argument is that most outsiders are more used to unlocking their staked tokens faster on other chains and the 13 week function on our chain being too long for their liking.

As per title, how do you decide on witnesses and what makes you place your vote or remove your vote from them? There was quite some discussion, which often resurfaces, in a chat recently about expectation from witnesses, if the rewards they receive are fair, etc, so I and some others were curious to see what other stakeholders expect from them. This isn't meant to be taken personally by anyone or attempt to change your current witness list, just a general feel for how people view the block producer job of Hive.

Holo everyone! Wanted to drop by a quick non-official update for those wanting to find out more info on Holozing. With the way the markets have been lately, we've had to make some decisions on where to focus the funding we are getting currently. We also want to mention how appreciative we are of our team, mainly those who have been on hive prior to being part of Holozing team as most have been okay with not getting paid for their time and effort immediately but allowing us to develop the project and pay for services from outsiders that aren't as trusting and tied to the project and the people here. So thank you once again to them, we hope to be able to clear out any outstanding debt soon!
