There was a time in my life when I was depressed simply because of my phone's battery capacity. It was so bad that I had changed the battery for up to 5 times in 6 months because the phone's IC (Integrated Circuit) was bad causing it to heat up so much that it affects the battery life. The depression came when I had an opportunity to buy a new phone or a cheap laptop and I chose the laptop instead, and regretted my choice. Buying the cheap laptop came with a whole lot of problems I never anticipated. The worst of all the problems I had with my laptop was how it would go off at 50% battery. After sometime it was more of a television because it goes off 5 minutes after disconnecting from power.
Three years ago, when I joined hive I suffered the same fate with my battery. It became so bad that it would go off while I'm writing a post, or go off just when I'm about to click the publish button. Sometimes when the phone comes back on, everything I was writing would be lost making me start all over again. I used to write directly on peakD then and when I got so frustrated with starting all over again from a post I had almost finished I started using my notes. But the notes had its own disadvantages because it would sometimes clear everything (although it happens rarely) when my phone goes off. The phone started by going off at 15% and then it increased to 25%, 30%, 50%, and lastly 70% until I got a new phone.
Getting a new phone for me was redemption and even though it would only go three hours starting while in use, it was far better than what I used. That was a Techno Camon 16 premier with 4,500mAh battery capacity. The best thing about that phone was its speed which made me really enjoy it, but I still wished I had a phone that would last at least 5 hours straight when in use. The phone I'm currently using, Techco Spark 30 compensated for the battery life giving me a battery capacity of 5500mAh. It also has a very good camera but I just like the fact that I can use it for more than four hours straight before having to worry about charging it. I've been using it alongside my Camon 16 for nearly 6 months, and I can say this one has a far better battery capacity than the former.
