I've seen a lot of great bands across many genres, but Limp Bizkit stand at the top of the list for their live performance.
I have never been to such an energizing concert where even the seated area is moshing. Nobody was sitting when they came on, and those standing moved like a flowing tide.
Nobody stopped for a moment.
Fred Durst was not only funny and witty when talking to the crowd between songs. He was absolutely kickass when it came to throwing out the songs. Like him, the rest of the band brought their best to the stage and didn't disappoint.
Most gigs I've gone to, about 40-60% of people move, and go wild, while the other half of the audience stand still and just watch. Not this one, though.
I was raging, I couldn't be down on the floor. But, with Aimee being pregnant, the seats were the only option for us.

The first band up - Karen DIŌ - was cool. They were fairly raw and kind of Nirvana vibes. For a three piece, they made a lot of noise, and Karen Diō kept the audience engaged. The audience was on their side but weren't leary enough for them when they arrived. They deserved to be higher on the bill.
The second band up - N8 NoFace - was shite. I usually give the benefit of the doubt to bands and musicians, but honestly, this one was painful to listen to. Nobody seemed to like it. It seemed like he was trying to be GG Allin but just kind of failed to be even half as endearing - which is weird considering one was a smelly drunk who used to beat - and planned on murdering his audience - and the other was N8 NoFace.
Third band up - Ecca Vandel - was pretty decent. She seemed to win over enough of the crowd. Not exactly my cup of tea, but it's all good.
Fourth up - Bones - were cool and seemed to win the crowd over quickly. They were also the first group to get a pit going.
Fifth up - Riff Raff performed one song, and to the wild excitement of the crowd, Limp Bizkit came out as the song came to an end and got the party started.
Throughout the night and in between bands, there was this guy called Jon Carnage who kind of hosted the night. I'll be honest. At first, he had the crowd on the side, but then he lost them. He was a bit annoying, and while the Irish can be patient, we don't suffer fools for long. It would have gone down better if he was really dishing out some abuse to the audience, Ireland, and whatever else he could think of.
I don't know if his goal was to annoy everyone and make the audience turn on him, but if that was the goal, it worked. If it wasn't the goal, I kind of felt bad for him because it went down like a led balloon.
