This season playing in Splinterlands is totally something else. While for the longest of times I had lost my interest of playing the game, for the last couple of weeks I had been noticing that I was playing a game here and there a bit more.
But this was always in the modern league and I really don't have the best of cards for that. I am totally a wild league girl playing with old beta cards and those I know from the back of my hand. But regardless, it has been ages since I was able to play a game with those cards since the wild pass was introduced. 2000 DEC to play for a season? Nehhh that sounds a bit too harsh just for some fun. Especially since I like to play some random games here and there, and not be dedicated for a whole season.
Just now I was able to reach the silver league and that has been centuries ago since I was there for the last time. That is all because I am able to use my old cards again as well.
Now there is the option in the wild league to use those old and new cards next to each other and I am enjoying it to the most.
Time to dive in my old cards which are the coolest ones to use!!
## Furious Chicken
Costing zero mana this chicken finally is able to run free again. Because it is so cheap and a neutral card there is always a little place to use him somewhere in the backline to protect your last players in line at least for a round. From that perspective I also have some zero costing Fiends that also do the trick for this but then only in earth and fire cards. This chicken is always versatile.
Quora Towershead
Coming from the guild cards has been a lifesaver more than once and you can build your whole team on this single card. Because of the bloodlust feature stealing all stats and the ability to heal, this card more than often ends up being the single card still standing and even getting more and more manna every round. Yup, you need a special summoner for the guild cards to use this.
Kobolt Miner
Yup a true golden oldie but always ready to use. Also because it is a small mana card which makes it easy to ease in low mana battles. But especially using it with Maldric Inferno rising the melee attack this is a fast and then 3 melee attacker.
In combination with Cerberus this is also one of the cards I really like to use in the fire battles in the backline. Cheap, easy, effective.
Mylor Crowling
Damn I used to own a lot of these but also sold them for new cards so now it is only a level 1 summoner to fool around with. But thorns on all cards is just a really effective spell when there is a melee type of round to be played.
Especially in combo with Quora in guild brawls this was a combo that I used very often. Earth cards are so nice to use!
## Ruler of the seas
My all time favorite card. More speed, explosive and a lot of magic power. This card can with you everything from the backline!
And more and more and more
Sure this is just a glimpse of my favorite cards to use at the moment, but what about Kron the Undying with heal in there and loads of magic power. What about haunted spirit with magic reflect and heal in there. What about Medusa with the stun ability.
This season playing with both old and new cards really makes it fun again honestly. For me the wild league could just be only league as it would make a lot of players a lot more enthusiastic!
