For the longest time I have been craving a seriously good burger. I’ve tried to satisfy said craving several times but to no avail. An opportunity to satisfy this craving arrived in my WhatsApp this past Saturday. My dad decided it would be a great idea to enjoy the last of the good weather before a series of cold fronts hit us this week and go out for a bit of lunch with the kids.

It’s finally Friday, and Ninja wants to remind us not to get too comfortable. The weekends are shorter than we want to believe and over in just a blink of an eye! Best to keep just one eye open, as there is still work that needs to be done around the house and trust me, Monday is merely a blink of an eye away hahahaha.

I have very fond memories of going to town on a Saturday morning and enjoying a tasty coffee in some small coffee shop with my family. I wasn’t really allowed to drink coffee at home and the stuff my mom bought was nasty, so I honestly believe that this is where my coffee snobbiness was born hahahaha.

Lately I've been truly appreciating a decision I made at the beginning of this year. I had just come back to work after a blissful 3 weeks of holiday and all of a sudden, my Anxiety was through the roof! I just couldn't understand it, as for quite some time now I've been managing it very well. As I do, I started looking at all the different areas of my life, trying to identify what could possibly be triggering it again. I say triggering it again as I've learnt that my anxiety generally flares up, quite aggressively, I might add, when I'm confronted with certain situations or emotions where I feel threatened or less than perfect in some way.

For the longest time, I shut down or, rather, force stopped my emotions! I did this as a way to cope with all the ways daily adulting lures you into believing that... we all need to show up over and over again! Show up and perform in an attempt to create and provide some kind of future for our children.
